1.0.0 Release Patch Notes
If the mana regen auras is a flat cost, then why isnt the life regen aura a flat cost? Seems fair to me, maybe make it cost a little more, but should still be a flat cost i think.

" I thought the 40% were changed to 60%.. Is only Clarity a flat aura now? Now I'm liking it even more! Ultra aura stacking just bugged me a lot... But hey, still, if you MUST play with all the auras you can get those Mana Reserved Reduction nodes and you can still run 2-3 auras for your entire mana pool, and cast you stuff with BM gem. Well, I guess now's the time for me to unload my hefty opinions on this massive, massive patch.
First off, I really hope you guys have heavily improved your server stuff for this, because there's going to be a massive number of people downloading what looks like a massive amount of data. I'd overestimate if I were you, especially given what happened with that one graphics patch. I don't particularly give a fart about the new leagues, mostly because I don't really feel like farming forever to build up what I've already got in Standard. New vendor recipe for Prismatics will be nice, though. New maps, monsters, tilesets, and quests are all good things that help keep the game fresh. Can't really say much more about them until I get to actually, y'know, play 'em. New Uniques are nice; hoping that there's another unique flask in there somewhere just because I don't think there are enough of those. Silence looks like it might make carrying curse-dispel flasks a must for caster characters, presuming it does what Silence does in pretty much every other game I've ever played. (Any chance it could stop our characters from mouthing off when they're hit with it? I like playing with the voice acting on, but having the Templar randomly scream "GO WITH GOD" can be kinda jarring sometimes.) Lots of new gems, which are almost always a plus. I'm especially looking forward to figuring out how to abuse the Reduced Duration and Slower Projectiles gems. I'm a little nervous about Cast on Damage Taken/Stun becoming standard practice with Enduring Cry/Immortal Call, much like Auras were before; especially because I can't think of a really good way to nerf that with the systems already in place. Mana Shield and AoF both look really nice, especially when you use them with Blackgleam. Might make a flaming EK toon now with Blackgleam just because I can. I don't really consider player profiles or achievements to be really notable; good for those who like them, not really in the way for everyone else. Guilds look cool; might start/join a casual farmin' guild for shits and giggles. The tags thing is a little disconcerting, considering that Maps are already rare and expensive enough. I don't care for PvP, but I'm a little disappointed that some of the general balance changes seem to be specifically to cater to it, especially since PvP tends to balance itself with circles of popular tactics. Also, I don't see a "Reduced particle effects of Arctic Breath" in here anywhere, so I'll presume that Desync Knight is still a completely valid playstyle when it probably shouldn't be. Graphics optimizations are most definitely welcome; hopefully they're big enough to make a significant difference. Maybe I won't have to fiddle with config files to make the game look like shit in order to have it be playable in parties. Crematorium and Solaris reductions are rather welcome; trudging through those areas was a pain in the first place. I'm a bit curious what'll happen with Hatebeat and Goddess of Purity, though. The life fixes are really, really, REALLY nice. I'm looking forward to rebuilding my Reave ranger now that I can actually take a couple hits. I feel like I should have more to say about this other than "about time", but I don't. Implicit Prismatic reduction was probably necessary, since all other rings gave at most 30% implicit to resistances while Prismatics gave a max of 36%. Party MF changes will be great. That's all I really have to say about that. Fusing changes are super-welcome, especially because I've got a couple 6S items I've been trying to 5L for the longest time. Same goes for the 2H buff, mostly because that really needed it. I'm not sure why the shield nerf is happening, but I've yet to read the entire thread so that may have been explained elsewhere. I'm also curious if legacy shields will be a thing that exist, and if we'll be able to craft with them. aOne of the things that concerns me the most: " If you're gonna make some Uniques map-only, it'd be nice if you'd tell us which ones - I don't want to be trying to get loot from the new boss systems and only ever find truly shit uniques because all the good ones are map-only. Also, are they still going to be chancable? Most of the Unique changes were probably needed for them to be viable and not OP, but this is my other nitpick: Are you still the same Chris who said that the economy in PoE is important? Why are you going to shatter it with legacy uniques? I'm not complaining - I've got a bunch of old Facebreakers that I'll probably be able to sell for a small fortune in a few months - but it really does look like the legacy uniques from this patch are going to completely destroy the Standard and Hardcore economies. That, and nobody's going to spend a Divine on a fuckin' Bramblejack, and the fact that you even mention doing so is, quite frankly, appalling. I don't see why Elemental Hit got hit so hard with the nerfbat - reduced damage AND increased cost? It was rare to see someone using it in the first place, since with high APS it was already far inferior to Reave, Cleave, Power Siphon, or Lightning Arrow. The other skill changes are all fine, though; people might actually start to use Devouring Totem as something other than vendor recipe fodder. Aura changes. Oh boy, aura changes. I'm honestly looking forward to them, with one exception: Blood Magic looks like it takes a spike up the butt. Also, I'm a bit disappointed that Reduced Mana linked to your auras is going to be more mandatory than ever. Also disappointed that this is basically going to be a huge buff to parties without some compensation to the solo player, but that horse is dead by now. I'm... honestly confused by the passive changes. Are we going to get a map for them before the patch so we can plan ahead? What happened to the instant-mine-detonation passive you mentioned a while ago? Not being able to un-socket a 6S is nice, as is not being able to un-fuse a 6L. I understand that you might want a 4L 6S for whatever reason, but you can just trade your 6L away and just buy it if that's the case; they're still going to be rare enough to be expensive. The rest of the bugfixes were things I didn't really encounter. And that's it. Quite the patch, and most of it looks nice, but there's those two big things I'm still rather annoyed about - legacy items fuckin' with the economy, and limited Uniques to map-only. |

Can we get some more info on the "Increased Fire Damage" mod on the remade Koam's Heart. I'm planning to do an Avatar of Fire/Cold to Fire Ice Spear build using Remote Mine and Ele Prolif for the new leagues. Depending on what this new mod on Koams is it could change my build from being CI or Life.
I'm asking here because I doubt we will have any information on the new Koam's until a new one drops because I don't think anyone would be willing to Divine a legacy one. |

The F what!!
How can i possibly read and interpret all that in 24 hours?!? My guess is that tomorrow there will be a mtx for frost wall called "wall of text" :-p |

Wanted to make a reply here, just to be a part of PoE history.
I'm very excited for 1.0, but quite sad at the same time that my school schedule won't allow me to play and grind as much as I'd like to. | |
" I'll forgive your ignorance as the following information was posted on reddit & not on the official forums. HERE ARE THE LEAGUE RATIOS FOR THE OLD LEAGUES STANDARD - 9 ANARCHY - 9 ONSLAUGHT - 3 HARDCORE - 1 So as you can see just as many ppl play Standard as play in the new leagues. |

Don't mind the whiners GGG, I think ALL of your changes are well thought out and intuitive, and for the greater overall balance of the game we've all come to love!
