What are hardcore league benefits?

What are/will be in released version the benefits of hardcore league?
I dislike rarity so much im almost quitting poe2. GGG.
It's all in the challenge. You get to gloat over the normal guys who die a lot, when you've done what they have without a single death!

Also currently in the beta they're running ladder competitions for HC players with the winners getting extra keys to give out.
oh why its just that? Would be neat if hardcore players gets better loot in the hardest places in-game. :)

I'm betting that it may be the same loot, but the better loot will have an increased chance of dropping. Maybe more chances to get it as well.
E-PEEN mostly. Other than that the gameplay is exactly the same. If you don't care about dying just play default league

That would be terrible as it detracts from the core ideal of hardcore - I've done what you've done without a single death. If hardcore players are using vastly superior loot then is it really a harder experience?

Hardcore is for gloating and should remain for gloating, on totally vanilla settings - other than being kicked to default on death.
Hardcore is just that, hardcore. Lag monster strikes - you're dead, you make a mistake - you're dead, you don't manage your resources well - you're dead. You get the idea. With that comes a greater level of challenge and competitive environment, which some of us find insanely addicting. The idea of reaching max level in hardcore is, frankly, god damn addicting.

Definitely agree that HardCore should be mostly for the challenge and bragging rights also maybe some nice loot for winners in those 24hr HardCore leveling ladder leagues.(sounds fantastic by the way)

With the mechanics in HardCore as it stands when you die your character isn't deleted like other HardCore modes in games of the genre, you just get moved to the default league so if loot was better in HardCore you would see people make HardCore characters just to get a chance a better loot and if you get better loot in HardCore where's the challenge in that?

Being able to stomp your enemies into the ground is not a challenge, the constant thought that you could die in any fight and it would be the end, now that's the challenge!
