Also, the rod was verified at the start of the thread, but OP rolled it.

People questioning this verifird thing don't seem to get it, so just to clarify:

There is currently no way to post a link to an item that doesn't exist, whether verified or not. The only different the verified thing makes is that it shows that the item is still in the exact same condition (ie hasn't been rerolled or modified, or moved) as when it was originally posted. Clearly as there are only a couple of known rods at the moment and those that have them are hard at work trying to craft them and work out what they are for, it's going to be a while before someone posts a rod and just leaves it sitting there. That doesn't mean it's not real, and it doesn't change the fact that the item must exist to be posted as an item link in the first place.

This is pathetic they even wasted time creating fake affixes for that thing.

This is probably a test/development item used for trying new things before releasing them.
Then it got included by mistake first time and now it has become a funny thing and they will drop throughout the game.
Probably some cool things one can do with it, maybe with rhoa feathers for example.
