This skill feels so god damn awful

Im leveling with a 6l SRS setup on my Tabula and they can BARELY kill mobs

Wow they feel horrible

Any other minion would be way stronger

SRS needs 4-10x the current dmg.... this is sad
I have tried to make a non-meta build with the recently buffed SRS and it's not good. I think there are two problems:

1.) Damage is still on the low end
2.) Way too expensive in terms of mana costs

I just played around with SRS, it's fun summoning a tonne of mobs that swarm enemies (even though it is a bit finger holding down the button)
My primary issue with SRS, is their inability to block spell damage.
I fought a mob who summoned a tornado totem, damage is useless.
I fought a mob who shot waves of aoe, damage is useless.
Any form of magic aoe and they fall apart, making you feel absolutely useless.
Any other projectile spell is unimpacted by aoe spell damage, any other minion doesn't melt as fast as SRS.
Make a Vaal Varient that is a channneling type skill.
It produces a bigger skull the longer you channel increasing it's life and also is slower
opened me lvl 28 srs old char in std, quickly spent points and... 560k "pinnacle boss" dps. (divide by 20 for 1 srs - or is it dps for all 20? seems so hahaha). whatever it is. it's beyond pathetic lol
Why bother finding a Mirror of Kalandra if it can be [Removed by Support]
Killing the Elder or Shaper while following someone's build is like finding a street using google maps - such an achievement!

Can anyone confirm that SRS actually has the Construct tag? I've checked every source I can find and everyone says it does, but I can't find that tag included on a single source.

Point of question is that the Hulking Monstrosity corpse item spectre doesn't seem to buff the srs minions, even though people say it does.
After the change in the most recent Phrecia Scavenger Ascendency to give SRS +5 to its limit, i decided to give the Alt gem "of Enormity" a try.

First off, its base limit of 6 pretty much puts it on par with its normal counter part in terms of total damage per sec if you are using as an attack build. So its balanced well within this playstyle.

However, this drastically falls off when attempting to use the Alt gem as a Minion Instability setup (as i suspect this was partially the intention of giving them such a huge life multiplier on the gem itself). In order to hit the limit of 6 in this setup you need to have a massive focus on cast speed due to a huge downside (from my perspective) in this skills base Cast Time of 0.8 secs versus its normal version of 0.5 secs. Significantly higher Mana costs are also a issue, but can be managed with Eldritch Battery.

The normal version really doesn't even feel good to play (in maps especially) in a standard attack setup until you are able to get about 60% cast speed. Therefore, the Alt version having a 60% longer cast time makes it feel infinitely worse, to borderline unplayable in maps.

When you consider this from a Instability perspective, it's exponentially worse because you not only have to contend with that slow cast speed have having your character constantly delayed in moving, but then you have to wait for their life to deplete to get to where they actually do damage.

Currently, even with Haste, Onslaught, 30% additional cast speed and Oshabi's 20% seal gain frequency for Unleash I'm only able to hit an average of 8 SRS minions out and this is just with Tavuki amulet doing the self-inflicting damage. Infernal Legion lowers it even further, to make the Phrecia ascendancy completely useless for this purpose.

So ultimately, I don't really see why there needs to be such a large cast speed delay compared to its normal counterpart. Given, its already balanced well within an attack setup and the Instability setup is already limited in its damage because you always want to make sure they explode, instead of being replaced with a new minion.

Also, one thought on Tavukai amulet. This is clearly made for the Instability setup. Could we possibly get a small change to it, where instead of having a generic randomized chaos resistance roll, it "sets" SRS only to a specific unmodifiable value? Currently, the majority of minions already have a massive survivability issue in higher tiers maps that limits build viability.

At least with the above change, we could make use of Dread March medium clusters to give other minions physical and chaos mitigation, without exponentially growing the time it takes for the SRS to get to low life.
