Enki's Arc Witch Memorial Page & POE 2 Arc Summary
" I think the build will be able to handle Uber Elder. Enki is a really skilled and veteran player who knows his stuff well, but I guess the general mapping experience will be more dangerous as a lot of mechanics changes have taken place. I think you should be fine through story acts, and low tier maps will give some trouble depending on budget/gear. Red maps and higher and rippy map mods, however, will be some tough challenges. Elementalist is getting worse and worse treatments recently, so, I mean, things will look more bleak, but not downright impossible to play. A filthy casual

Okay, Enki :)
First, thank you for your continues build updates! Secondly, after adjusting to your new setup i came to the conclusion, that this build version is optinable with much less costs. I am still missing amulet and ring für the new update (and maybe belt, havent looked into this slot), but: one thing does feel a bit "less strong", no ES anymore, so i feel kinda naked xd but time will tell, and maybe would someone take a look, who is familiar with this Mana based version of Enkis Arc Ele build, and say something about how i could easily reach 75 lightning resistance (currently at 63%, while fire and cold are 77% and 75% - chaos minus 35) Would appreciate it! Also: i don't think i will be lucky with the Acid Caverns Lightning Resistance Penetration Weapon Base drops.... But there are also no Lightning Resistance Penetration weapons available at the market.... what to do :D i feel unsatisfied, not being able to continue or even finish this version of the build q.q any tipps? " >things will look more bleak, but not downright impossible to play my question is: wasn't the ES version better than overall? like you sad with maps etc. -i get it, that's its cheaper now, than before (because no leach watchers eyes are needed, if i remember correctly before they were suggested) -was immortal call nerfed so extremly, that we really need the dodge mechanic? |

" ES seems to be effective in 3.6. but in 3.7 it became a nerf show (skill tree and no more ES mod on dense fossils), so much that you will need to invest even more on gear to achieve the same effects. Thus, I anticipated that Enki is not following the route, and he didn't. Getting mana Regen to sustain has become so serious that helping Alira is needed and running Clarity aura because warlord is gone. You can still get a watcher with x% dmg leeched as Mana but that is just for leeching and usually you would want to drastically boost your dmg with a watcher. You also can still run Wrath + watcher + essence worm to not reserve any Mana for wrath at all and it is a big dmg boost. Immortal call nerf is massive but it is only a buzzkill for any builds that do not run endurance charges. Warlord mark is gone, so zero endurance charges either. So pretty much it boils down to dodge because you don't have enough evasion to stack it anyway. You want to dual wield for the most part to make up for all the dmg loss (if not running wrath), so no shield and no Block investment either. So yes, now your defenses become paperthin, but I do suggest that Enduring Cry be an option to run with Immortal Call. You get 3 endurance charges every time you cast it and assuming there are at least 3 enemies near you. That way you can hope to mitigate more elemental and phys dmg and can save you in rippy maps if you have enough life and Mana pool. Just my take on it. " Update! Having played the new version and my mind is blown, though i understand where my recent thoughts came from, i have to say one thing: the critical hits are rocking instead of holding the attack key down for an ethernity you immediately see all the mobs popping Enki, keep it up, your skills reach so high into the sky, to me it seems, you brain is spacewalking edit: +Lightning Warp rocks! (Whirling Blade made my brain whirling) edit2: 1 Question appeared: Are we really not using Wrath or Disciplin, or i am i missing something? Last edited by JeyHaze#1147 on Jun 7, 2019, 5:22:11 AM

" >You can still get a watcher with x% dmg leeched as Mana but that is just for leeching and usually you would want to drastically boost your dmg with a watcher. Seems like there is no Watcher's Eye on the Market with x% spell dmg leeched as Mana ._. Is 'increased mana regeneration rate while using clarity' also pretty good? |

in your 'Leveling this Build' -> 'Extensive Version' you still have:
"Great Uniques for leveling are Lifesprig, Axiom Perpetuum, Goldrim, Wanderlust, Tabula Rasa and Mark of Submission (with Warlord's Mark socketed), but prioritize a good lifepool and capped resistances!" I assume this was just an oversight? |

@barroweye
I guess you mean Constitution aka. the scion life wheel? It's just too far away and there's not that many beneficial nodes on the way for us.
@Scutilla
Recoloring corrupted gear is really easy with the new Crafting Bench now, just spam 1b until you have 5b or 4b1g.
@WorderMostFoul
1. The main reason was for ignites to somewhat counter Arcs chain length nerf with burn proliferation, unfortunately GGG killed this before it was a thing. I did try both Ele Prolif and Burn Prolif gems but both ultimately didn't feel as good as Unleash. But even without this, crits still have a higher damage potential and after playing around with it for weeks, it just feels more consistent. 2. This really depends how much you've invested into attack speed. LW is relatively fast right when you got the gems, WB first needed lots of attack speed and quality on gems for us to feel good. Overall, a highly scaled WB would still be faster but not by that much, and with Abyss Jewels being preferred for Shock Effect now we couldn't really get that much attack speed anymore. And ultimately, it opens up more gearing possibilities. 3. Orb of Storms was atleast much stronger at the time of testing, I don't know yet if Storm Brand can compete with its new values. It may be an option, we'll see. 4. LST honestly just felt really bad most of the time. It really shined on Delve bosses as they barely move, but that's about it. With the new setup, I was able to consistently reduce my Uber Elder kill times by about 50% despite the loss of LST burst DPS.
@Hologram_o
Defense has actually significantly improved over the 3.6 setup. I've tried many defensive concepts and this one was the most consistent and approachable for players. 40/30 dodge is just the base, we can get way more with easily accessible stuff such as Atziri's Step, Oskarm, temple boots, Pantheon upgrade and so on, and at the highend range there's 12% attack dodge through Tiger Hooks to get. Blind is a great help against attack-based bosses even without high Evasion. That said, GGG really needs to step in and give Elementalist some actual defense instead of gutting her further. Having actual working defenses outside of Ascendancies seems to be pushed more and more into speciic gear, which wouldn't be a problem if it was accessible and not gated behind layers of RNG and content that requires said defenses or a meta build. But if the last two patches were anything to go by, what will actually happen is that Acro/Phase Acro and all dodge on gear gets nerfed and another random thing this build uses just gets removed, just cuz' some meta builds use it. Ok so now the rant is over, let's talk about Immortal Call. I've played around without it since the balance manifesto and it works just fine, even without Inpulsa. The thing about casting Enduring Cry before Immortal Call is, you probably won't have the time to do so in a situation where it would be beneficial. It's worth a try tho, let me know how it works out if you do use it. The reason i've decided against Steelskin is that it can only take a certain amount of damage, f.e. only 2209 at Lv20 and we wouldn't even have the strength for that. Immortal Call, especially with the inclusion of less ele dmg taken should atleast in theory be the overall better panic button for us.
@ScaryAtheist
Both defenses and consistent damage output have actually increased over the 3.6 setup, and with the exclusion of needing 2x ES mods + Life on a good ES base gearing is also much easier despite the few requirements of the new setup.
@JeyHaze
Have you changed your bandit rewards to Alira? That will give you the needed resistance while also giving Crit Multi and Mana Regen.
Spam Metallic Fossils on a Tiger Hook for a highend Lightning Penetration weapon with some extra defenses. I'll cover this in the Multimod guide whenever I got time, fortunately this shouldn't be too relevant for most during the first few days of Legion. The ES version was honestly worse overall, I really did not like its performance and the investment it took to make it work properly. Manabased MoM is much more stable and cheaper to build, especially with the ES nerfs in this patch. The dodge setup was something I had planned months before the Immortal Call changes were teased, so those were just an additional argument for this setup. Wrath is being used, but you need an Essence Worm for it.
@Wratho
Indeed just an oversight, thanks for pointing it out!

Thanks for responding, Enki :). What I said was based on my personal observation and 2 guys I know that play Arc in 3.6 - they said ES was a pretty good choice for 3.6, though you say otherwise. I haven't played Arc since 3.5, and yes, of course, they WRECKED my witch as well. I kinda want to try again, but, depends on my motivation (won't league start with her).

Spoiler
Not far enough into 3.7 to judge anything (level 26 atm). First impression is okay. It's noticeable that some encounters are a little harder than before, but that's just their changes to life+damage of bosses. Apparently even more experienced players than me are ripping occasionally now, no matter what build.
I really don't like Lightning Warp, yet. But then again, it's still at the beginning. I hope it gets much better and faster. Right now it's barely faster than simply walking and it feels 'disconnected'. Don't know how to put it... It completely breaks the flow somehow. I don't use it at all. I rather pop quicksilver flasks and use Frostblink. OoS also doesn't feel as good as the old Storm Brand. I might swap it. I tried out the 3.6 ES version in Standard for 3 maps and it lost a few thousand tooltip dps on Arc. Can't say how much dps actually is lost. The loss of proliferation on Beacon is noticeable ever so slightly, if you ask me. But it's not as bad as I thought. One thing that is way worse is the changes to Immortal Call IMO. That's going to be bad for survivability, I fear. Storm Brand still feels okay, tho. P.S.: I think Arc actually is a good skill for these league mechanics. I can imagine it's really working well to resurrect big chunks of those armies. Last edited by Cendrake#0301 on Jun 7, 2019, 8:02:01 PM
