Very interesting Stuff, great new Content, the needed Nerfs, Changes we expected & almost no Change for Monsterdamge or so ... even with Ascendency-Classes & Entchantments. Should be one Hell of a League :)

" Problem is that Divine orb cant change tiers. If you would have 35 additional crit multi after patch, divine wouldnt be able to push it up to 50% more. That would be higher tier of crit multi. |

I don't agree with the crit multi change as well. I kinda feel for the players, which invested dozens of hours to get the perfect gear and min/max out their chars. That really hurts. It also becomes harder and harder (from an HC perspective) to do a decent crit build.
I also wondering about the ToH nerf. You introducing already a new flask with 20% (?) flat reduction, which is already a direct nerf to ToH. You have simply more options (affixe wise) with the flat reduction flask. It wasn't really necessary? Vinktar was too strong, but remove one of its core mechanic, "Instant leech", isn't a balance, you destroyed an item that is gated already behind content. You also have to use it preemptiv (reflect mob or huge damage burst which you want to outleech). Removing its core mechanic is a huge mistake :( Dont get me wrong, i never used those flask (both of them) because i like to have options (available affixes on non-unique flasks). But i liked that there is a possibility to use 'em, if necessary. The rest of the update/expansion is super neat, especially the mapping stuff/end game content (grinding gears in the laby or coins for items)! Really looking forward to it. Btw: Do you offer a download for the new content.ggpk file, so we dont have to patch via luncher? Welcome to the greatest of arenas, Duelist. God is watching you.

" except I'm pretty much sure you can. The value is off, but the tier will remain the same, allowing for divining. The name of the prefix and/suffix should be constant, even if the values are not. |
|
Snorkle I think you are wrong. The new 'tier 1' say for ammy, is going to be like 38% * 1.5 (or whatever the new value is) when divined, or from a drop. Mirrored/corrupted are bricked, so say a legacy crit multi of 70% stays as it is.

" nah nah youre good man, dont sweat it. Basically if you have a mirrored vaal Rapier you lost 10% crit multi, thats it. Everything else is fine, you will lose damage on crit builds this is true, but your rare items are fine, even if they are mirrored and cannot be modified. Your old values of 38% increased crit multi will change to 38% additional crit multi, this will be exactly the same value as the 38% additonal crit multi that will be the t1 roll on all new items. If you have a legacy 70% increased crit multi it will change to 70% additional crit multu, which will still be 32% higher than the highest possible current roll, will still be best in slot, still be legacy, still be the top roll on in the entire game. Youre gonna lose some damage on your crit builds right, maybe 25% of your damage, and then you are going to get a massive damage boost from ascendancy and enchantments that is going to give you all that damage back and then a load more on top while you get all this other stuff like phasing and regening and jet pack steve or whatever insanity your ascendancy is granting. Trust me I know that patch panic, I have mirrored daggers and all manner of nonsense, 10k hours invested in my current characters etc. But this time round were happy campers mate, in the overall picture we got insanely buffed across the board and with a few exceptions all our items still hold their relative value. With mirrored gear its just the Rapiers from what I understand, if you cant bless it you lost 10% crit multi, which you probably get back from a small ascendancy pathing node somewhere in your spec. If you have a mirrored rapier, what did it cost you? when I was looking to buy one they were about 180ex, now theyre worth a shitload more than that, I bet your rapier is worth at least 60 exalts more right now than what you paid for it, at least, you lost 10% multi against mirroring the rapier again right now where mirrors are worth a ton more than when you got the sword. Given the choice would you chip in the extra say 80 exalts to mirror that thing now with 10% more multi? If the answer is yes then sell your sword, add 80ex to it and then remirror, you have that option. The guy with a perfect Abyssus, ya he got a bit rekt, sry man, but then a normal abyssus is 1c vendor trash its not like your skyforths just got jacked. The dude with the perfect vaaled maligaros, hes fine malis arnt changing. Almost everybody is fine and most peoples whos relative wealth in items changed actually earned money because their unique flasks and daggers are now positive legacy rolls. |
|
" " It isn't 100% clear whether this is or isn't the case. If they changed tier values its a massive insult to mirrored and legacy gear users. >> The following were not updated to new values: Maligaro's Virtuosity, all craftable item mods (non-jewel) and master-crafted mods. This leads me to now believe that the tiers didn't change and its a 33% multi nerf overall, which is a nerf, but no where near as bad as rendering items worthless. __Caliber_EX Last edited by Jaineiro#2083 on Mar 3, 2016, 1:36:39 AM
