Nah. Don't play bino anymore. It's waste of points. Just wait what will come out in 2-3 weeks. Don't spend points for build which will not work anymore.

i addressed this as well! its their choice which items to nerf and i will accept that decision. but if they literally said that some uniques can be divined, it means those uniques arent meant to be nerfed! for example abyssus, its on what i call the "white list"

I do appreciate that. Patches costing me in game wealth drives me nuts, seriously, Ive emailed GGG about this before. They change trees that force bandit respecs to properly min/max and then I have to pay 20 regrets a pop on a server where they are 12 per ex at the time. Patch day lands and it literally costs me 8+ exalts of regrets because I have so many characters needing bandit switches etc. On those days I would have been a very happy man if I had got away with a divine or 2. I am sympathetic honestly.


But another way of looking at it, cause perspective is always good, how long you been playing mate? You got 28 challenges, lvl93 in talisman, that says to me your a fairly GG player whos been around the block. You ever owned a legacy unique before? Ever owned one that then went legacy? You got a Taste of Hate lying around somewhere? Last time I checked prices on a ToH they were 4 exalts each, theyre going legacy now, atm on standard theyre 13ex a pop after that news. 4 months from now theyll probably be 20ex. If you own a single Taste Of Hate Flask, and that is the only unique you have ever had which has gone legacy, then you just earned about 20 divines worth of profit on your items thanks to this legacy system and the way it plays out.

I have a toh, vinktars, I had 4 rumis before they went legacy, legacy malis, aegis, saffells, rainbowsrtrides, lightning coils, cloak of defiance (lel)... so they didnt all turn out so well lol, but on the whole Ive made so much more bank from legacy items than I have lost. You think I dont own an abyssus etc? Crit multi rare jewels, I got all these things man. But any long term player who has a lot of items on hand gains way more than they lose from this situation. Its not like you make a killing on legacy switchover unless you are a big time flipper and risk taker, but in terms of amounts like a divine or 2 youll be well in profit if you play this game for a decent amount of time.






Im still pissed about those bandit specs tho, GGG owe me stacks of regrets, literally stacks of them. Never forget bros, a grudge is for life not just christmas, which funny enough was the exact time of year they stole them from me, the dirty Scrooges, at christmas of all times.

basically it comes on to this: you know how before crit multi was 150% base? well that means that any crit multi you find on an item, gets multiplied by 1.5. so for example finding a +100% crit multi item would actually change your crit multi from 150% to 300%

so when you add 50% to something (or multiply by 1.5), it becomes 3/2 of what it used to be. to get it back to 100%, you need to multiply by 2/3 (or two thirds). so one third of the value is lost and thats what they said, and i tried to explain now

although i realize the explanation was the shittiest one ive ever seen, so someone else maybe help? :(



pulling a rough guestimate out of my nose Im fingering it will be about a 10-20% overall damage nerf for crit builds depending on how much multiplier they got from the tree and how much came from items, overall crit chance etc.

Ascendancy classes often seem to revolve around a free gem, be it fortify, pierce, chain, more damage, elemental pen, additional curse, additional aura, critical strikes, most builds going for a damage ascendancy are getting something thats going to give the damage output of a free support/curse/aura etc. A gem is about 30-40% more damage essentially. You get ele pen on crit, drop your cold pen gem, stick in crit multiplier or controlled destruction. You get perm fortify, so you take out fortify gem and use added fire or conc effect. Along with the boot/glove/hat enchants you will end up with more dps going out after this patch on a dps focused spec for sure. Its just that non crit builds will see a bigger relative increase than crit builds, everyones taking 3 steps forward then crit is taking 1 step back, given that its already starting about 3 steps ahead its fine, needed even.


I would have gone further but the more I think about it the more Im coming around to the idea that they went just far enough. I do mostly play savage crit builds and we dont want them to get gimped to the point where their ascendancy only brings them back to par. Right now our ascendancy buffs us significantly beyond these nerfs, we should still be excited imo.

Is this shit even for real?

GGG updates the game with a new league and introduces a lot of new gameplay features and what do we see? A flood of drama and crying.

Whining about losing OP builds .. Seriously, what do ppl think when they play an absolutely OP build that requires no brain to play anymore? That the liferegen got nerfed - with > 10k regen numbers, you didnt expect that? That was overdue. Kinda ironic that the critmulti change kills any legacy bino if you want it at max effect.
