Let's talk Chaos Orb Farming

isn't the best way to farm just to make a character that can solo merveil in level 39 cruel at level 39-41 with the item rarity uniques and gem set on?

you could kill yourself every time your about to level and then rinse repeat again with no drop penalty.

I only have the rare gloves at the moment but i was think of trying to get the hat and ring. I'm not sure what class could stomp merveil right at 39-41 though with rarity gear on.

The last few days I was farming with my groups, we were running really dry on chaos and chisels. I assume that this had to happend to them to start farming normal boss runs and get no exp, like Invalesco said. I found it wierd that the amulet with 58% rarity went for that high a week or few days ago I dont remember.

On that subject, is there an updated prefix/suffix chart somewhere? The amulet in question was 18% base and had 40% extra rarity as a mod. I tried to find out the highest it could get becuase I found that 58% was pretty high. All I saw was lvl 62 base amulet stat of 19-24 rarity and lvl 75 suffix of 21-26 rarity.

I knew about the receipy like most people, but didnt think about farming normal for rares, I imagine there was some kind of diminishing return, tho I think I just was thinking about the currency diminishing returns. Its pretty cleaver in my opinion, you pretty mutch stop progression to farm for a few hours/days or when your group of people arent online yet. I dont know how GGG will deal with that. Wouldnt some people want to possibly farm yellows to make it easier for an alt to level up?

I might be missing something here, why do you think cruel merveil is the best place to farm? Also, killing youself would result in going to default, but the ones that were farming rares in question, (possibly nugi), are on hardcore, and lvl 85+

IIR is both a prefix and a suffix, it adds up

I don't know of any boss lair that has an easier reset than merveils. it takes like 2 mins to walk to her lair from the cavern of anger portal spot and her entrance is always easy to find due to ambrosia and the gold coins on the floor that show you where she is. she also has a large chest spawn right before her lair often parallel to her lair which also hints itself with gold coins on the floor. I said cruel because I farm higher uniques but you could do it easy enough on normal too

are people reseting and killing vaal faster then 2 mins? I would like to know how so I could do it

I'm guessing hardcore and default don't share a stash? i wouldn't know

Yah, you're right. I went back to check for the prefix and for some reason I assumed "base amulet rarity" meant the implicit mod on that amulet. And the implicit mod for a gold amulet is 12-20 so you could possibly get a 70% increased rarity amulet.

Hardcore and Default stash do not share a stash. I'm suprised you can run to merveil lair this fast, but if you say so, you must be right! With leap slam with 2 quick weapon and 2 quicksilver I'm pretty sure you can rival your time to get in merveil lair for vaal.

I have been stacking q/r here for a year and a half. Have spent some time on this chaos recipe, but I must be completely honest, it is not efficient.
You simply cannot get enough amulets/rings/belts to make it worthwhile to spend a lot of time doing.
I currently have 174q/190r and merveil drops between 11-14 rares every kill, and still this recipe is not completely viable due to low acccessory drops. try the shit yourself before just listening to some idiot streaming the game . :)

people seriously ran all 4 level of waterfall cave for vaal?

someone wrote up a guide for merveils lair. she is the easiest to spot becuase ambrosia is a give away that she is within the area alongside the gold coins on the floor. the large chest usually spawns wthin the 15-20 or so runs it takes to completely fill a stash. I usually get 4-6 rares. it boggles the mind how they get so many rings /necklaces though. I guess it's I farm solo. I see alot of useful rares are actually not above level 20 though. I could definitely just go farm reg merveil then it seems and still have a chance at all the rings etc.

if I had all the rare and qunatity uniques though I would definately build a level 41 character( I think i won't suffer currency penalty that high I can never remeber the rule) and built them specifically to farm merveil. in defualt atleast you can just keep illing yourself so you never lose the bonus

in all honesty I convert most rares into alteration orbs and the few 5-6 that I keep are sold to people 1 alch orb each. I can trade both for chaos when needed at good rates. extra alch shards also help.


do all act bosses drop the same quantity of loot? if not would piety be the biggest drop amount? can she be reset?

This info has been known for a long time that selling a set of unid's yields 2 Chaos Orbs. I get a strong feeling reading your post that you're just jealous and want to get these people in trouble. (that obviously includes a DEV playing and enjoying this game together with a known streamer)

I have no affiliation to any of these people but this post just leaves me with a nasty taste in my mouth.
