308 jewelers and no 6 socket

what are the chances to get an 5 link now after patch? and 6 socket/ link? i really want to know before i use my fusings. i have played 600 hours sins closed beta but still never got a 5 link/6 link yet..

i get the feeling that people have deluded themselves into believing that the new method will greatly increase their chances to get sockets or links, i'm fairly sure Chris has said that it is a fairly small chance and that RNG is still a very large part of the process...there is bound to be people that will still use more than 2k fusings to get a 6 link with the new method...it's just a smidge more likely to result in the desired effect.

Newsflash GGG, truly competitive players hate random. Your output should be proportionate to the level of your input. The line that separates players should come from player skill and understanding, not RNG.

Seems like GGG would rather have a million bots that systematically buy more stash tabs when they run out of room from their farming than actual players that play this game and try to have a good time.

I completely agree. I am self-found solo player and after 4 months of playing found 3 exa, and I hear that I am VERY lucky. Although, I knew that "crafting" in PoE is nonexistent for a casual player still I tried to get 6s for my lvl 100 Qull Rain bow, won through races. I have spent all my 300 jewellers, which I collected since I started to play 4 months ago, to get only a couple of times 5 sockets. Now, I hear that people use 1200+ jewellers to get 6s and this is just the beginning. What about linking even 5s? Who the hell can afford it except no-life streamers with thousands of friends and a constant flow of free gifts?

Say what you please, but this is the last time EVER I am "crafting" in this game, perhaps excluding dealing with silly 2-3 sockets, which is more an annoyance than a rewarding fun. As a casual, self-found solo player I will NEVER be able to neither "craft" nor buy a very good 5-6l item in this game.

No wonder people feel frustrated after a while and quit because of no sense of further progress and reward and being stuck with not even good, but mediocre items. Well... I guess new will come in their place, so all is good.

I spend a lot of Jeweller's + Armourer's Scraps to make 6S (near 400 Jeweller's) and all alt/jewellers/fusings (+most orbs i trade for fusings) to TRY make 6L and no lucky after more then 2k Fusings + Amourer's Scraps.
So craft very reward and RNG nice.

Btw, we can look on 2% players that have 40 Kaom's; 50 5-6Ls Shavs and 50 Thunderfists to see how RNG is RNG :)
Some ppl spend 2k Chance and Scourings and never have even 1 Shav, and 2% players have tons 5-6Ls Shavs and other endgame uniques. Nice RNG? Ofc. Just lucky, only hardcore, full RNG in game.
Idk if they are most lucky ppl on Earth or what, but GGG must check if there 100% no bugs with Kaom's and Shavs for there 2% who rule all game.

There, still really hard to get 6 sockets but a lot less annoying getting up to 5 and you can't really make your item unusable until you get more jewelers. Maybe to do the same with fusings.

That is one of the reason they losing players, many many quit as the "luck" on get items is to low. And if you have a 5S or even a 6S and wana link you end up with worse then you had when you start, that is less fun. If they not doing something about the sockets/links i think they will lose more and more players.

Good to hear that I'm not the only one.. just burned 325 +/- jewelers on my Lightning Coil >.< Hopefully I can burn my last bit of currency and get it - So I can start burn fuses :) haha

Man, I miss 2012 Path of Exile. I made a post in this thread over 2 years ago on page 2.

Also this thread should probably be locked since it's come back to life more times than Deadpool.
