Path of Exile 2.4.0: Atlas of Worlds Patch Notes
I love that CoC and discharge builds have been ruined.
I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

Although I agree that some balancing nerfs needed to be applied, this is way over the top on several skills and items.
I don't get the thought process behind it at all. In all honesty, this type of nerfing is a turn-off for me because due to the sweeping changes, it completely ruins working builds rather than making them not overpowered. (I regret buying the supporter pack for Atlas of Worlds) |

Tbh I really don't get the amount of upset-ness over CoC/mjolner nerfs. They're a couple of builds out of thousands. This game has the most diverse build making system of any I've ever played, yet 99% of the community goes tunnelvision on the 3-5 most popular builds. Open your eyes people. The game's bigger than this.

" Are you going to explain how increased minion damage on a helmet is going to address problems with: -minion AI, -Convocation - aka the only skill to have any meaningful control over your summons whatsoever that's next to useless due to it's long CD, -Spectre acquiring and maintining mechanics, -Skeletons viability? I don't think my Spectres need any more damage but they could use something that would prevent them from being royaly raped in some fights (especially with more and more mechanic fights being introduced similar to Malachai with absolute FUCKTON of AoE and projectiles lingering arround the arena in rather high density, like Hydra Guardian fight to not look far) literally putting everything to a halt because I have to go and get new Spectres from the high level map every time one of them inevitably dies in a ways I had no chance of preventing. I can somewhat swim in the soup of projectiles - minions won't. I guess when we take approach that if I kill enemy before my Spectres get obeliarated 40%dmg on a helmet isn't that bad... but I've never seen spectres dishing out such amounts of damage (Bladefall miner anyone?) to begin with. Damage Effectiveness
I could understand that by using Added ... damage to skills with low damage per hit (such as BV, Firestorm) would be to high boost, so you made appropriate multiplier to it! But now when BV base damage increased, does this multiplier also will go UP proportionally to damage increase? |

This looks like its going to be an awesome patch!

So guys how much is the Reach being nerfed? will it be still playable, i mean uber viable or high tier red maps viable? Atlas viable? and i am not talking about the 20% expert players who played all builds and know each boss inside out, i mean us the rest normal beings :}}.
My question is simple, is it still worth a to play the Reach build or not? has it been destroyed by the nerf (btw i am talking about the AssReacher from ziggyD). I also dont get the "legacy" part, how it will be legacy? more damage? chaos or phys? |
