Good day,

I am not pretty sure If I am right here but the issue sounds like the one I got. I havn´t been hacked exactly, but I keep getting the message that my account has been locked as somebody tried to log in into my account.

I already changed the email adress into something I do not use for anything (spam email if you want) but today I got the message again. Nothing happend though but I am of course insecure as I do not want that anything hacking my account.

Any good idea what I can do? I am playing several other games, never happend before.

That's not strictly true.

I had a load of tools stolen from my open ute while I was at work.

Insurance company paid out fully.

hello ... in one month I have been hacked 2 times changing passwords ... not use them or anything think they have a serious security problem that is not normal the number of accounts that are hacked first stole all less gems and even characters erased long cost me up ... now also stolen gems ... and i do not see anything done to treat this does not happen or that it ban the user to hack accounts .'s easy to find people stealing just have to look at the logs and see where these objects an gone but it seems very difficult for developers to look at those things. before you say anything I do not use any kind of cheats or similiar and honestly this game is good but I will not play a game any day you want to play all gone already and not only that managers do not lift a finger to fix d3 be much worse but has a path of exile security shall not never .... sorry for my English I hope you do well

I assume you are German, so I'm gona answer you in German (makes it easier for both of us).

Du wurdest (vermutlich) nicht gehackt, sondern hast das Sicherheitssystem kennen gelernt.
Dir wird von deinem Internet-Anbieter spätestens alle 24 Stunden eine neue IP-Adresse zugewiesen.
Wenn du eine IP aus einer anderen Region bekommst, "denkt" PoE, du würdest nicht selbst versuchen, dich einzuloggen, sondern jamend anderes und blockiert den Account und schickt dir eine Email mit dem Unlock-Code.
Seit dieses System eingeführt wurde, habe ich mindestens 30 Unlock-Codes gesammelt ohne jemals gehackt worden zu sein.
In den Emails steht auch, aus welcher Region der jeweilige Account zuletzt benutzt wurde.

Übrigens scheint das System seit kurzem lernfähig zu sein; früher musste ich beinahe täglich einen Code eingeben, in den letzten Wochen aber gar nicht mehr.

Deshalb ist es auch wichtig dass dein Email-Konto sicher ist, wie zum Beispiel mit ein gutes Passwort oder mit einem Sicherheitssystem wie Gmail's 2-step authentication - damit ist dein Konto bestimmt sicher!

Torkelo: I'm very sorry to hear this has happened to you. It's important to realise that to be hacked, an email account needs to be compromised as well, so until you have changed your email password your account may still be at risk.
Make sure the password is strong and unique, and ideally not used on any other account or website either - to be extra sure, using a system like Gmail's 2-step authentication will secure your account as the unlock code relies on your mobile phone.
