Hacked Accounts
Haven't logged into the game for a month or two, but decided to update and check stuff today because I got an email saying someone tried to access my account from Shaoxing, Zhejiang, China. I live on the other side of the world.
Haven't put the unlock code in because now I don't trust it and have just changed my password. No one besides a few people I know personally IRL even know I have an account in the first place, so how did someone from there get my username, nevermind my password? There is definitely a breach in GGG security. It isn't even a question now. |

OK so sounds GREAT! However if you plan to have such strict rules about hacked accounts and item replacements, then how about implementing the Off-Line Website Trade System you promised a year ago???? That way if Legit players do lose their items at least they have a BETTER WAY to earn them back instead of playing through the game grinding for gear again and or trying to find someone who will trade with them in real time which takes FOREVER and is a pain in the ass? We need OFFLINE TRADING ASAP!!!

" relax dude! lol We all know that they're working on it and before it's released they want to make sure that there are as few problems as possible (preferably none). Patience good sir. |

I haven't played in a while myself, but I just got an email reporting suspicious activity locking my account. I just checked my stash, all my orbs are missing anyway, so I guess locking the account didn't do any good. My email password is not the same as my PoE password, and my email activity shows I've been the only person to use it. If my accounts for other games I play get compromised in some way, at least I'll know I goofed somewhere, but this is the first time I've ever run into this issue in any game, so it seems a little strange to me.

" No. best is to use authentication like Steam does. Explanation - except on my laptop & desktop,Steam asks for a code that i get in my gmail, even when i have to login on browsers etc i still need to verify that. And my gmail is protected by my cellphone(SMS).Problem solved :) |

Just to note, I'm absolutely certain my computer hasn't been compromised and my password isn't something someone would guess, are you guys sure you haven't been compromised or if your system isn't displaying false positives?
