If their system was hacked, Kripps account would have been hacked already.

My advice to password paranoia is use a password database utility that itself has no internet access component and a password and/or key file required to access it.

I have been using KeePass Password Safe (free) for at least 5 years and have never had a compromised password as a result of making sure I repeat passwords on ZERO sites.

Use passwords with # or $ or % in them to thwart brute force attacks at least, and make them at least 10 chars long.

finger42nail$ as an example.

I'm trying to avoid cloud computing as much as possible also, I don't think it's secure enough right now.

nope, sadly you in essence: "did this to yourself", and this is the price you have to pay.

Even if it had involved a different set of circumstances, atm, GGG will not restore characters/items/accounts.

Happened the same to me but I can't log in anymore...

I got an e-mail telling me this:

WTF man.... China hacking the servers? I changed my password but they better up the security. No way they can just guess our passwords.

I had not logged in for a while and did not do any phishing scam or anything. So, are they reading the passwords off the server or what?
