Yes my account also got hacked... well Wystril not wystril2
I surprised him in the middle of it too. Got booted out of the game to be told i was logged from another place. Lucky me i managed to recover my password make a new and access code fast enough into the game to realise only half my stuff was gone... Sadly only 30 sec later i was booted again but this time my email account deleted from the main site... result? now i cant even send a password recovery to my email.No i dont use the same password for email or PoE and never i had been hacked in my life before. dont go to any ill site or open weird email or go to any kind of link related. Its sad to see that they dont even admit they have a security probleme But i may have a easy solution to this password issue, if not mentionned before already. Like many other games have.. you sould add a combination lock that you can only click with the mouse.You cant keylog this or access it in any other way than looking at the screen and clicking. That's because they did not have a security problem, YOU did. The people in here screaming about GGG being the culprit somehow in how the account was compromised are hilarious. It's almost scary how similar it is to the first few months of D3's launch and all the idgits who do not properly secure their accounts/computers claiming some massive breach of D3's servers. Hilarious to say the least.

Thats also what i was thinking... until it happened to me.
And like i mentioned, he did it in my face, changed my password right after i had made a new one and no email ever told me something was happening.I wish i would of made a mistake or something ANYTHING that would of lead to this. That way ,i would know its my own fault ,change password-email-new account and start over. But now i am just highly insecure about starting again. |

I'm not making a general statement, but in this case: What do you think is more likely, he's hacked into the GGG servers stealing their password files instantly as you change it or he's reading your emails or he just has you keylogged? |

GGG database is vulnerable to injection where you can get some usernames and passwords, but they have no idea how to check their logs correctly, or prob don't even have the filters setup correctly to see it. So change your passwords weekly.

My account had a hack attempt but luckily my account protection kicked in and I was able to change my password I hope all these hack attempts stop soon.

I haven't used this account since the public beta came out. Got an email saying my account logged in from a city that's across the state I live in and that my account has been locked until I enter the unlock code. My E-mail is fine, I changed my password for my PoE account without any trouble. I don't use the same password for my PoE account/email account so can anyone confirm if GGG's servers have been breached and someone has a bunch of username/passwords?

"Update: My email was compromised - they reset password, than they unlocked the account to be used from China. I have found those mails in the trash of the mailbox. So it was my fault - simple password on the email account (used mostly for PoE only) However I`m very curious how they got this account name (email) as I was unable to find any evidence this email was "searchable" on the PoE web. |
