Act 8 Doedre the Vile fight is utter garbage

Before 3.0 my worst nightmare was fight with Piety inside the beast. She killed me dozens times with her damn death ray and zerging flying eyes. I abolutely hated Act 4, especially in merciless difficulty.
After 3.0 Piety and Malachai stuck at low Acts where they are soft and easy. I pass 'em both without a single die.
Now I totally hate Daedra!! First time I flooded her with zombies and skeletons in one run with Necromancer without valve noticed, but she has tough energy shield. For dodging ranged players with main dexterity skill Daedra is damn difficult. Even Kitava pissed me less.
So I agree, Daedra fight definitely need some ease fix.

My first play through was after this expansion was released, so I don't know how it was before, but the Act 8 Doedre fight is by far my least favorite part of the entire game. I've run through the campaign with a dozen characters, and I usually get a friend to just kill her for me. Any other boss I don't mind fighting on my own, but I absolutely hate the Doedre fight. Some builds can do it easily, sure, but many of the builds I've played make the fight incredibly difficult. I do know about turning the valve. I just hate the fight. I hope they work on it at some point...

I did this boss (?) as a melee character (blade flurry) and I can tall you that this boss is not melee-friendly AT ALL. Very clearly tuned to ranged hit&run attackers/casters because she'll tear you into shreds as soon as you stand around for longer than one second. Pretty much the only way to do her melee is to either have ranged help from a friend, or brute-force it and die a few times over (lel hardcore).

Also don't get me started on the Act 9 Doedre fight with the same specs. It's the same bs all over again. You pretty much NEED other people taking care of the aura totems, especially the purple one, while one focuses on her.

Facetanked all of those (act 8 & 9) with Cleave Juggernaut.
Cleared with many other builds (mostly deathless).
Build-dependant fights, not really "tuned to ranged" imo.

If you NEED other people to take care of Doedre's totems in Act 9 - your build isn't good.
Remember, suffering is convenient.
That is why many people prefer it.

I died repeatedly to her in her "purple phase" with the slowed attacks...i hardly did any damage to her and thought I'd have to reroll another toon. However, once I changed the valve to the "red phase", I was able to melee kill her in my first attempt. Granted, I was about 7lvls above the zone, lol.

Molten strike/multihit/lifegain on hit (total 120),w/ 3k life and 120 life gain on hit. The multihit makes my scion strike fast enough to keep her health maxed almost the whole time. But if not for such a rapid lifehgain on hit, I would have died a thousand deaths.

My current build Blade Flurry for single target boss fight did great job.

You're a juggernaut. You're playing one of the tankiest survival ascendancies in the game. Of course you could face tank her. Thats what Juggernauts do.

Moving on: The teleport is the thing that makes this fight a nightmare. When Malachai does his deadly teleport, you see and hear him rise from the ground before the hit. You know you need to move. Doedre's teleport is absurdly quick, has next to no warning, and the only true way to avoid it is to be running around like a madman and praying she doesnt pop in on your head. And if you're in the red phase, you're likely to run right into a damage zone while doing it.
yeah this fight is still garbage, small arena, undodgable shit all over the place, no idle time when u can dps her down

shitties fight in all acts 1-10
okay so i struggled with the fight so hard then i found like a super cheesy way for me that worked so easily.

like i literally just stayed in green mode the entire fight, facetank her while holding down 1 button for a minute, fight over while being afk.
