" ^ this here highlights one of the problems. people dont even understand what the stats do. Item Rarity has no bearing on whether you find orbs, nor what type of orb you find. Item Quantity is the only stat that can increase your chances of finding currency, and even then there's nothing that will improve the chances of finding 'rarer' ones such as GCP or Chaos, or Regal. I for one like magic find stats. I enjoy having the option to forgo some survivability and stack some MF in the hope of finding something better than usual. At least in PoE it appears to have some impact. |

" So, something I have yet to get from any of these posts is why? If the game was missing item rarity would be asking for it? So far the reasons I have gotten for Pro magic find are as follows: 1) It makes the game harder after you have reached a point where the game is easy. If the game doesn't have a section that is hard the developers should make one, which I have faith in them doing because this is still a beta. 2) I like seeing more drops. If more drops = more fun, then shouldn't it be something that just happens 3) It is a staple of the genre. This just makes "Just because your friends are doing it" ring in my ears 4) This one is from me, I like seeing all the items drop with my name on it, and making my party jealous Don't be a ass. |

" This is one of a few reasons i stop playing any ARPG. If i feel like i'm putting in substantial amounts of time and not gaining anything in return, i'm done with it. The drop rate to me is one of the top things that needs to be reasonable and balanced. If i can't advance my characters gear late game then there's really no reason to keep playing that character anymore. But i'm not really the type that feels the need to build and play multiple characters, i just like building the one. One thing that drew me to PoE was the crafting system. So at least if i'm not FINDING better gear, I can hopefully MAKE better gear . Last edited by xTANKx#0175 on Feb 26, 2013, 6:35:43 PM

" I meant, resist on weapons. I like them on any other piece of gear. |

EDIT: Nevermind, I don't feel like trolling and don't care enough to have an actual discussion. Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact same fucking thing over and over again expecting shit to change. That. Is. Crazy. The first time somebody told me that, I dunno, I thought they were bullshitting me, so, I shot him. The thing is...He was right. Last edited by DeviousX13#5701 on Feb 26, 2013, 6:53:25 PM

I dont see a problem at all. And I will not write a wall of text because this whole "debate" is in my eyes completly useless. It does not hurt the game at all. More I dont have to say.
PS: @TE - plz put a "?" at the end of your Title, because I like this stat. So your whole statment is wrong. And I feel offended by this. I dont share your mind and so you are not allowed to talk for all. Why you should try Harcore http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/209310/page/1 Last edited by tadl#0113 on Feb 26, 2013, 7:03:50 PM
