ALL HAIL PRESIDENT TRUMP

I doubt anything will really happen to Trump. At worst, they will go with "resign now or face jail".

I highly doubt they would send him to jail regardless of what he did, simply because that would give a very negative view of the democratic system.

I tend to agree with this, an exception I see reasonably possible is that financial fines could be enforced at the state level. For example I could see the Trump charity organization shenanigans ending up generating some big fines.

They cannot send him to jail. Congress explicitly can't decide guilt or innocence in a criminal proceeding.

Very true for congress. There are more potential "they's" than just congress though. For example, the NY district attorney and the FBI both have the power to bring criminal charges when appropriate.

Well, we voted for him. He's the representative of what real Americans think. That's why he connected with them.

If we aren't being hypocrites for a minute and think about it, Trump was the best candidate sharing the deep, hidden yet existing American views about the rest of the world and the "other" people we so unanimously hated for stealing our jobs.

He capitalized on that thought and feelings of what it was to Make America great again.

Look at him. This is what real America is all about now.
It's hard to feel optimistic about the future:
The US have elected a man that seems hellbent on throwing everyone under the bus for whatever short term gains he can get.
Europe is failing to unite, dragged down by its nationalisms, and its components fail to manage to repair their economies.
Russia is getting back to its sovietic ways.
China is turning into an Orwellian dictatorship.
The atomic bomb is becoming more available to dangerous governments.
The middle-east is a ticking time-bomb.

I feel that we will see the third world war within our lifetimes.

Anybody who paid attention to the Kavanaugh hearings should know what’s going on by now. If you can’t look around and see who is dragging America through the mud, then you’ve spent too long in the zoo. Trump is crude, but his list of offenses are nought in comparison to what his opposition has stood for and done for the past two years alone.

And it’s becoming more obvious by the day. I’ve said many times I’m not a betting man, but I wouldn’t count on an impeachment any time soon.

Dems will probably get the House and impeach Trump as a hail mary attempt to make him less appealing in 2020. It won't work though, Trump thrives in this shit.

We’ll see. I think that the more the democratic establishment acts, the more people become disgusted by them. We’ll lose several cities to literal socialists, but I’m hopeful more people are beginning to recognize that the blue wave is more like blue koolaid.

There are people acting right now, with very dangerous agendas. They create racism, bigotry, harassment, and violence, blame it on western values and the American way, all to undermine our institutions to seize absolute power from the people. They are being exposed day by day, and I wouldn’t be surprised if this all ended in charges of treason.

Which agendas are dangerous? Do you have sources for any of those claims?

Um... no. While the protocommunist rhetoric coming from the likes of Ocasio-Cortez is indeed dangerous, it's not treason. So now you too have become the sort to apply that word to politics you just happen to disagree with? Some of the recent posts in this had me cringing at the manifest Trump Anxiety Disorder, then I saw your username to the side of a post and expected a breath of fresh air… but instead I got more of the same derangement, only with the partisan polarity reversed.

I don't believe any major US politician is guilty of treason. (50+ counts of mishandling classified information, maybe; treason, no.) It's truly pathetic I should even need to say that I don't suspect the leadership of my political opposition of treason; it should be taken for granted that we don't.
When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

I think people like Maxine Waters could seriously be brought up on treason charges. I mean, I understand that some politicians choose to lie and slander others for political gain, but there really needs to be a line with the lying and slandering, and some people, like Maxine Waters, clearly have crossed it by miles and miles and really should be brought up on treason charges.

It is one thing for China and Russia to lie, slander, spread misinformation; we should expect them too, but Maxine Waters (and those like her) are doing more to destroy the USA then China & Russia combined could ever do.

Republicans are generally too scared to do stuff like this though, but hopefully Trump will finally do something about the constant lies & slander out of people like Maxine Waters, but who knows, maybe he is too much of a coward as well.
