You can use a wand, scepter, staff, whatever you find that will carry you until you get started with wands.

My plan at the moment is to get Storm Prison, Power Siphon and try to level with it until I can get KB, then I'll have to test which one works better for leveling (I think at first Power Siphon should perform better due to built in projectiles).

This plan won't work if I don't drop anything of value to actually trade for Storm Prison :D Anyway 1-12 I'll be leveling with Freezing Pulse supported by Frost Bomb. Later, it depends on what leveling items I can afford, but best items to get if you switch to wands are Prismweave belt and Wake of Destruction boots. They make a massive difference.


Btw. GL everyone who starts with this build and hopefully we won't have to fight for leveling uniques between ourselves lol.

Im newish to the game, so i was wondering... can the build work the same if i switch KB for Power Siphon to do late game content? Its just cause i find it more interesting visually, more 'flashy'... haha

This is probably a stupid question, but, should i be using Barrage on CD too on packs, or just spamming KB and saving Barrage for rares/bosses?

If it's a tanky rare, then Barrage will probably finish it off faster :> Power Siphon might be good since you get free Vaal version with it, of course it will take time for me to test it in the end game ;D

Enjoying Power Siphon so far, just picked up the Vaal version. Of course, only testing will tell how good it is later on for clear vs KB.

Which Impresence do you suggest btw, assuming lightning?

I switched quite early (lvl 12), got Storm Prison, dropped Arc and use Power Siphon + Added Light and Added Cold. It was quite slow and painful until level 18-20 or so. I also gone straight for the starter ES nodes and Fullisade/Tempest Blast. From level 30 it was pure pleasure playing Power Siphon, it has a lot lower mana consumption so it can be spammed much more then KB and allows me to run Wrath and Discipline or Blasphemy curse (I change them around, can't decide which one is better for leveling), pack clear is pretty much the same as KB. Using Siphon - Added Lightning - Pierce - Elemental damage with Attacks at the moment.

I think getting Storm Prison/Twyzel for Siphon is mandatory early on, as well as getting some leveling uniques - Prismweave, Karui Ward, Doedre Scorn and Wake of Destruction are pretty good picks. Had good luck finding pretty sick gloves in the Incursion.

If I don't have a 6l for barrage, what gem is the odd one in a 5l?

Probably lightning pen, but 6-links are so cheap this league I would try to get one if I were you :)

Another big boost is new hybrid flat lightning + lightning pen mod on wands - this one already beats total perf rolled Piscators for my character, and I bought it only for 18c. Just waiting to level up Tora to craft crit or attack speed ;)

this build works really good after just 2days playing into the new league.
levelling was a pain tho.

my barrage dps feels a bit low, can you help out?

i think i will save next for a piscators.
