Think of the common sense here. When you take some thing into your body that will make change inside out no matter how you cover the changes, they will appear at least just a little bit at the time then all the sudden you will get killed. The same story here for GGG, when the CHINESE money injected into main structure of the company some thing will definitely change. All players can be promised is that HOW LONG the game is going to Survive when POE entering the most biggest game market and the most Biggest PAY TO WIN culture. DO some research about some other Chinese games in 5 years back from now and you can see just a few can survive by now. ALL ABOUT money man. Don't be disappointed too much because every one has to eat right? but depend HOW Much you want to eat.
Personally, i have to deleted any trail of my personal information that linked to POE now, am i going to be hacked BY THE INVESTOR? or not Last edited by Black12345#0521 on May 21, 2018, 10:40:40 AM

Edit: I've removed my knee-jerk negative post. Digging deeper into Tencent and their history I believe this is going to be alright, even good for the game. I'll still harbor my doubts but I trust GGG, I have for years. They have made a excellent game so far and I highly doubt Chris of all people would make any decision like this lightly. I'm sorry for my earlier post. I hope this turns out well for all of us, but I'll trust GGG to make this a good thing for the game we all love.

" Not necessary no. This is not a good thing, not by a stretch. They just sold themselves to one of the largest chinese corporations out there. One, who operates under the jurisdiction of the communistic party. I suggest reading up on Tencent, and the laws, and regulations of the communistic party. |

" That's just unfair to say. Apart from Chris and the other founders, nobody at GGG has the executive position to make such choices. I have no doubt there will have been those not in favour of this deal at GGG, but in the end it's not their choice to make. Also, I don't believe Chris made this choice for personal gain at all, as many seem to be all to eager to point out. This choice was made for the good of the game, to ensure a future. Apparently our support wasn't enough to warrant that future, or maybe Chris wasn't content with what he could realistically accomplish with the budget it provided. Who knows? Chris does, we don't. Oh, and before you call me a white knight, as usual, I'm unhappy too. I just don't think making unfair or blatantly ignorant statements is going to be the right way to address anything. ![]() https://www.nzherald.co.nz/business/news/article.cfm?c_id=3&objectid=12055682 Tencent "acquired" GGG. Yet we have Chris trying to tell us they're still an independent company. Bullcrap. Chris sold out. As an individual, I can't say I blame him. If I was offered a fraction of what Tencent paid for my company, I'd probably sell out too. But when Chris posts this announcement to try to smooth things over, that's the bullcrap. It's almost an insult to us as customers to pretend this was an "investment" instead of an acquisition. ▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄▄ ▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒░░░░░░░░░░░░░ cipher_nemo ░░░░░░░░░░░░░▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒▒ ▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀▀ Last edited by cipher_nemo#6436 on May 21, 2018, 10:35:43 AM

" Nothing changed yet. Exactly. And this is only because Tencent just recently bought GGG. Give them a few months and PoE will be completely destroyed just like many other games touched by Tencent. And i’d like to see your reaction once it happens. |
