Hey there,

Thanks for the build frawrst, I had a slow start but now it's really smooth and fun to play.
It's my first slam, it's the best slam !

And thanks to you too, Feluto, I spied a lot your character ^^

glad to hear it and thank you for the kind words

and thanks to Feluto!
Given we get rage from charms now and even warbringer, wouldn’t slayer be a better class?
Yo im gonna check this build in a couple of days after finishing my DD starter and getting currency but as some feedback, in cons you said "cannot do phys reflect", wich wildwood ascendancy you are using? Bc there are primalist charms with "you cannot take reflect physical damage" and they came with rage rolls since they are ursine charms, with them i think you can do every map mod safetly

I hope that can help and im gonna slam everything into oblivion when i make this build :)

I am brand new to POE and stumbled across this guide and started using it for my first character. So far I think i am following ok (Act 4 level 45), however, can you give me a very high level overview of how the actual warcry gameplay works? Put another way - what is the 'default' play style ?

there are 2 main options

1. use call to arms + 1 warcry, put it on left click and let it auto use as you move

this is fine for almost all content in the game

2. piano warcry, using ways to extend warcrys to keep warbringer proccing on all of our exerted hits. you have to keep pressing warcries and maintaining rage, all the while dpsing and dodging etc. a much more active and heavy playstyle

the "rotation" for piano would be, 1st warcry, slam slam slam, 2nd warcry, slam slam slam, 3rd warcry, slam slam slam, 1st warcry repeating

thank you again for this guide and all the help. as I'm starting to get the hand of it i'm going to try to learn the playstyle of #2. But just curious, it seems like the warcry CDs are shared, so how am i pianoing them if they share a CD? Is that were the extending comes into play - so you extend the buff longer than the CD of the warcries so you have certain times with multiple buffs running? Assuming that's the case, how do you make the buff last long enough? My one warcry is lvl 19 and it's still not long enough

you are correct, using a phys reflect mitigation charm removes that downside

that portion of the guide was written before you can easily acquire charms

they do not share cd if you do not allocate call to arms

this means they are not instant, you must do the warcry animation. this is why we spec into warcry speed nodes on tree

to reiterate, process 1, with calls to arms, makes all warcries share cd (this is why you only use one)

process 2, warcry piano, and NO call to arms, makes them not share cd and allows the rotation

not particularly, slayer has other pros and cons, benefits and negatives. you will find it MUCH easier to get high dps on a berserker due to rite of ruin and warbringer procs vs trying to solve it via charms on slayer

slayers is a great class for sure, but saying it is "better" is a bit reductive

Same here. I was looking at the gems and the abilties and trying to understand how to fit all on the action bar. I know to put the auras in CTRL slots but i still have to many slots. tried to follow the gem slots on the gear as close as i could. maybe i am missing something or overlooking how to gem the gear.

In the same boat. Currently using an Elementalist to farm up some currency so I can give this build another go. Think last time I also ended up with the "not enough attack speed issue" as I went Champ. Going to go Berserker this time so hopefully that will fix some of the AS issues and just focus on getting some more AS on the tree.

Can't wait!!!!
