Meh. I was planning on going back to basics with a self-cast Arc anyways. I have long since learned that when GGG wants to make a league about a certain playstyle, you avoid that playstyle at all costs.

Unique Item Balance
Two-Handed Weapons Due to the damage increases given to Two-Handed weapon basetypes, we've adjusted the damage on a number of Two-Handed unique weapons. Existing versions of all of these items will be updated to the below values if you use a Divine Orb. Kaom's Primacy now has 100-140% increased Physical Damage (from 160-220%). The Dancing Dervish now has 130-160% increased Physical Damage (from 160-190%). Ngamahu's Flame now has 170-190% increased Physical Damage (from 190-230%). Marohi Erqi now has 200-230% increased Physical Damage (from 230-260%). Kitava's Feast now has 200-240% increased Physical Damage (from 265-330%). Kingmaker now has 170-200% increased Physical Damage (from 250-285%). Voidforge now has 30-60% increased Physical Damage (from 50-100%). Doomsower now has 30-50% increased Physical Damage (from 50-70%). Kondo's Pride now has 220-250% increased Physical Damage (from 270-320%). Terminus Est now has 180-220% increased Physical Damage (from 220-260%). Sinvicta's Mettle now has 140-152% increased Physical Damage (from 200-212%). Atziri's Disfavour now has 205-220 to 250-270 added Physical Damage (from 220-235 to 270-290). Disintegrator now has 220-240 to 270-300 added Physical Damage (from 250-280 to 315-355). Hegemony's Era now has 135-145 to 160-175 added Physical Damage (from 165-175 to 185-205). Additionally, due to chances of the basetype's chance to critically strike, it now has 10-20% increased Critical Strike Chance (from 20-30%). We are buffing 2H weapons … Clever balance :/ |

I do that all the time. 90% of my builds are gimmicks I have fun with, using skills with character archetypes that are not made for certain skills/mechanics is something I do often. Why? Cause its fun making builds for me and trying new things out. Again, like I told the other guy, my current Berserker is a total gimmick.... Bringer of Rain helmet? LOL. Hyrris Ire armour? DOUBLE LOL. It even has my ranger skills on it (the character I was actually using the armour with). Only reason I even went for it is for looks, I wanted a complete Spartacus gimmick character. And I still love playing with the character. Even utilized Chain Hook so it was a new playstyle and not the same boring redundant "meta crap". The problem is expecting "meta" results with builds not made for them and then complaining about it. If I want a minion build, I wont do it with a Dualist. Even though I can, I will know that it wont be as strong. Actually, scratch that, Ive done so many wacky combinations I would probably go for a Dualist minion build anyway, but I wont cry that it aint doing end game as ez. There is a thing as maximization. If that is what you are going for, then use the ascendancy made for the reason it was made. Its like saying "Gladiator is a good ascendancy for bleeds, that sucks, everyone should be able to be as good".... What the hell is the point to ascendancies after that? If on the other hand you just want to have fun and are care little for playing Sirus on lvl 8....... Then no, I see no reason why Rage wont work. Ive done it with several characters. Can we please also get the numbers on cluster jewels changes and other gems/items before 19th? that would be great so we can do some POB calculations. I am ready to find some other OP stuff, those new crafting options got to have some hidden treasures ;) I understand we always get a certain new archetypes each league (last one was blades) and it usually doesn't turn out to be good but on the sides (which they don't advertise as much) there are good builds to be found. So my guess is that 2H weapons will flop. But hopefully other new builds will resurface. Don't try to hold it, flow with it.

" They nerfed Berzerker hard with the rework of that single node, but the other nodes are pretty dangerous IMO. Aspect of the Carnage is a death sentence if you are playing melee unless you have such damage to kill before being killed. Rite of Ruin if you are not having a way to stop the degen then you are constantly degenerating xD Blitz, although it provides you with a huge amount of attack speed, with the recent changes on the crit nodes (although it's not that big, it is a loss anyway) is kinda useless. Idk what to say, honestly... |

" You're not going to be bouncing between 25-50, you're going to be going up to 25 then down to 0. You probably wouldn't take this node with the other Berserker rage nodes, it's effectively a replacement for the default rage mechanic, basically sacrificing speed for power. I suppose you could just warcry occasionally when you wanted the buff, but I have a feeling that would end up being inferior to other options. |

" I still dont see the nerf... Till I try out this "25 rage for more damage thing" I wont be running around crying. Thats what you all do, then 2 weeks later "omg this game is so ez and broken!" At first glance, the loss of the Warcry heal was a big deal to me. Only reason I had that node was mostly to get a huge heal burst every time I was running in close. (With, again for the 3rd time, a gimmick Zerker which, I still love playing). So yeah, at first glance I was kinda bummed... Then I put my brain to use and realised there is a new mechanic in place i haven't tried. Chill people. Seriously. You are doing the definition of insanity. Every league, I swear, every single league people are whining over the "NUUURFS" then a few weeks later are whining the game is too ez. Make your minds up. Its the usual "ready to hate, ready to be angry" mentality. I guess this is what is plaguing the world period in all things other than gaming too. People without even researching something or testing it, ready for the complaints. Ofc a balance change will have something specific you figured out be affected. And I understand someone sitting there making a specific node, skill, item, work in a certain way, that they will be bummed at ANY changes done to it. But that is kinda the point. Learning and making new builds. That is the most fun part of the game. I honestly think at this point some of you just want ONE build you love and the devs to never touch it, and to sit there doing the same thing over and over again. That is nothing but a prime way to get people burned out and bored with the game. I say bring it. There are so many changes here I can't wait to try this season out! Luckily for me, doing the troll Sirus is like the last and least important thing on my list when playing PoE, especially when I have the other 99% of content in the game to enjoy... And even more lucky for me, that means I don't sit there and metawhre. I actually have fun making builds, avg builds, good builds, op builds, broken crap builds, total gimmick builds... Im really disapointed about the Two-Hand-Weapon ,,Buffs''.....basicly they buffed the bases, so craftet two-handed-weapons get better....but nerfed the uniques....im pretty sure most new/common players focus on getting uniques cause self-crafting isnt a good option for them so are good rares cause theyre usually very expensive. .
So to summon this Up: U fuck the common player community to help the advanced player community :D sounds like a great ,,Buff''. As also, how is Starforge supposed to work now? Old Infernal Sword implicit is ,,30% global accuracy'' - now infernal swords get ,,+ to elemental Damage %''..... So the best Two-Handed Unique Sword in the game, which was a common choice for many 2 Hand builds, now has as implicit ,,+ %elemental dmg'' while having ,,deal no elemental dmg''???? Is that supposed to be a dumb joke? |

" This is wrong IMO... I did several characters with Rage mechanics and stating that it is "nowhere near as good as the class primed for it", it's just a wrong statement from my point of view. I did several characters since the Rage mechanic introduction and it works REALLY well (and not "just fine") even without going Berzerker exclusively. So, it's just my guess, but I kinda feel you are not that used to the mechanic and it's clear that you don't need to be a Berzerker to take advantage of this mechanic. The changes in the Rage generation is a big nerf, now you are forced to bring back the Rage support gem (which is a downside as the gem doesn't offer that much), as using cluster jewels with Warning Call/Mob Mentality is not useful anymore. No crit from Warning Call, no Rage charges from Mob Mentality. Melee builds were gutted in this sense. |
