0.10.5 Patch Notes

Well, guess I won't be using Multistrike after all. Too bad.
Critical strikes have been standardised in how they interact with repeating actions. The critical roll is made only once per action, regardless of how many repeats that action does. Exceptions are Tempest Shield (which rolls each time you block), Piety's Ball Lightning (which rolls per target) and Infernal Blow/Explosive Arrow (which roll separately for the explosion).

So this applies to projectiles with chain? If I crit the first target all chained targets will be crit?

as if the economy did not have enouhgh problems already, creating a choke point for a skill gem that everyone will want, will probably have limited supply.. and people will probably ask for exalts up the ying yang for it. And what's going to do? push more people to the pay for orbs method since most of the casual players dont play 14 hours a day 7 days a week to get the chances needed for things like this and that it's the only way for users of that casual caliber to get ahead...

really dis-appointed... the more this game is progressing, the less I feel inclined to play, and in turn spend..

Nice patch... especially form performance stanpoint... the elemental on hit effects reduction should help ppl with old rigs. I hope also that auras now will be something more that disco-disco crappy effects.

But from balance/meele standpoint this is extremely underwhelming (especially considering that comunity named this 'meele patch" and considering two weeks delay). Two new gems and thats all? Meele fixed? Another patch without any balance whatsoever (you reduce arc range - good change but its only a start).
And what with broken economy in default, what with other issues that are commonly discussed in Feedback Section? It looks like whole ffedback in "Beta feedback' and 'skill/keystones feedback' is just totally ignored lol (for example why you not change some skills for months if you know they SUX? novas for example? why you dont nerf LA And FP (they are stupidily OP compared to whole rest of skillset).
I hope this new Beta Manifesto will adress this (but you know writing about issues dont fix issues - just fyi) and a lot more.

Overal another nice patch that will change nothing. Will check on monday to see new uniques and thats all.

As for bandit WP changes, I agree for more reasons than just boss farming. It made WP hop killing trivial, you're supposed to actually fight through the zone not just get/buy WPs and get them done in 5 seconds.
please clarify this critical business, are you saying if my spark has pierce and pierces twice, it will only shock 1/3 times? and this includes when using it with chain or fork? or is it stating that it will only check for critical on the first hit, and all subsequent hits are crits. need to know because you mightve just screwed my spark crit totem (pierce, fork).

does this mean that cyclone will roll crit per use and not per hit?

making Multistrike world drop:

People asked for like 7 gcp for chain at start, now they hope to sell it for 1. I guess most builds already worked without multistrike at the moment, its nothing you "need". I understand a lot of people want to check it out, this definitely includes myself. But if i'd fount one I'd be happy to sell it overpriced to someone who wants to have it RIGHT NOW!, don't know what you guys do, but i play POE, I have enough stuff to do already, i can wait for that multistrike thing ;P



the silverbranch issue:

I totally agree with the general issue on creating "legacy items", but i don't feel its that of a big deal in this special case. When i read that notes, what came to my mind was..

"ah ok, +2 was to oop for races, so they reducing it. But ok, shell people in sc/hc who have it still have fun lvling with it for some lvl's"

I mean, a Silverbranch +2 is nothing anyone would use past.., ~ lvl 30 ? , so.., maybe it will get a little bit more expensive, and people who just love to poison arrow away stuff on normal pay that little extra, but still its nothing anyone is worried about in their later build.

I totally agree thou that something like a "new" kaoms with 900 hp only would be a much bigger deal, and i hope GGG sees the difference in future cases of item changes.
