Respec shoud be free

I wouldn't mind it being very slightly cheaper (in about ~10-20% boundary).
Otherwise it's fine.

It definitely should keep NON-TRIVIAL gold cost to promote careful adjustments instead of "let me just reset everything and click all the build back again".
Honestly, having it free during the early access where the whole point is for people to try different builds and provide more feedback would be a good idea as long as it was communicated that this wouldn't be the case in the full release.
The early access characters will go to a dedicated server anyway so it wouldn't mess with future standard characters. Ironically, the only downside would be missing this kind of feedback.
It should definitely be free for the first Act or two at least (or before lvl 20). Then lower the cost substantially after that.
I'm new to PoE, and I respecced for the first time last night at lvl 18. It cost me almost all my gold (3k+). That is insane. All you're doing is encouraging people to go online and look for "omg facemelt op meta builds" because they're scared to invest their points and be forced to waste tons of gold later to respec when their build isn't optimal. Any game that is encouraging people to go to Reddit to find meta builds is failing their player base imo. Can someone give me a reason why free respeccing is bad? I haven't seen a good argument against it.
Why shouldn't it be free? So you could throw away your character and play the 50 hour campaign from the start because otherwise you need to farm gold for 50 hours?

I'm at level 42 and removing 1 point costs ~1200 gold.

It's bad because it promotes mindless resetting until something sticks.
Instead of READING UP passives, LEARNING what they do and HOW THEY SYNERGIZE, people will just keep resetting until they pass their current problem. Then they'll keep resetting at their next problem, and so on.

It directly promotes maximally brainless approach to making your build.

Simple as.

It's not a particularly great cost at level 42.
Not to mention that the longer you play the more costly it should be - this is fairly normal. You invested into some build and got through the game with it, this means it's working; swapping it completely SHOULD cost you.

As a newer player I strongly dislike the high costs for respeccing. I have not been looking at build guides nor do I want too but with costs being so prohibitive it pushes players away from self discovery and towards looking at 3rd party resources rather than playing ourselves.

Similarly the nerfs to certain mechanics that are being abused can also be punishing to less performant builds that have those skills as part of their kit. I hope they look into buffing underperforming skills etc too.

Such a bad argument can u explain how does humans learn ?

Exactly by try and error and guess what i cant afford in poe 2 ANY ERRORS otherwise either the cost of gold is corrupting my insides or another 20+ hours of campaing

SOOO does anybody have actually a good argument against free respec ?

Certainly needs to be adjusted, and much lower than it is now. Diablo 4 tried to have high cost respecs and needed to lower it. It just isn't feasible with the flexibility of build diversity.
