Why invest hours into a game to risk losing everything with one mistake? For some, penalties add excitement, but for others, they turn fun into frustration. A simple solution? Add an option to toggle penalties—offering a challenge for those seeking it and freedom for those not. Let every player enjoy the journey their way.
For now, I’ve uninstalled the game. I’ll return if GGG realizes they’re losing players for no good reason.
I'm in the same boat, died two times in succession and lost all motivation to continue playing, uninstalled for now, but still am very interested in further development.

If two deaths is all it takes for you to ragequit and uninstall the game then this is not the type of game for you, simple.

"Boss, we keep getting massive complaints about our new product..."
"Just ignore it, it's just not made for them"

That's partially the point.

I wonder why if some players hate the game, they still think it should be the game for them, not for those who love it. When all those haters will figure out that it is not PoE 1...

Nice bait.
Instead of being constructive, your comment just draws a line between 'us' and 'them' to radically label profound criticism as coming from 'haters'. You don't really want to know what i think of these forms of communication.
The game is in early access open for discussions, even on topics like this. Dividing contributers to this discussion into 'haters' and 'lovers' is not giving a CLUE of an argument for keeping xp loss in the game, it just feeds destructive separation. This is toxic.

But there is no argument to remove xp loss, nothing really to argue about. Like, saying that removing xp loss will make the game more challenging can't be seriously considered as an argument. Basically, all people are saying is that they don't like such type of games. But there are also people who like it, including GGG developing team apparently, so what's the point of complaining that this is not the genre they want to play? It's not the question about some small detail which will be probably changed during EA, they are asking for different genre. Like, if someone would try a Diablo 2 EA and would ask to make it a turn-based because they don't like that combat, would it make sense?

To the contrary, there has been an argument for removing xp loss for a decade now, you're the one who has nothing to support keeping it. Loud minority should not decide what stays in the game, and I can guarantee you that a majority does not want bullshit to deal with.

Just add a toggle
• Option 1: 2-6 Portals and/or no XP loss on death
• Option 2: 1 Portal and 10% XP loss on death with increased drop rates (e.g. 50% increased rarity)
There is an economy behind all this, you can't just put in several difficulties and share one economy. That's not how things work.
POE 1 and 2 are built around several scaling difficulties? This is literally built into the game. I would go as far as to call the scaling / differing difficulties a core pillar to both games.
This pillar comes with risk vs reward. I really enjoy the medium core offered by POE 2. If I want to blast, listen to music, zoom and spin to win with zero defences, I will play POE 1. If I want more methodical game play, ensuring I build a multi-layered defensive character that never dies in maps, I will play POE 2.
I enjoy the risk, and I have built all four of my 85+ characters to tackle this risk.

Lol, I feel like you are almost ready to say "GGG shouldn't have the right to decide what kind of game they want to make, majority should".
And this is a VERY questionable, which part of community is loud... I think it's those who is whining about "fixing the game", makes sense that they are much more loud that people who are enjoying the current direction and have only small details to complain about.
