Market actually ruins the game

Crafting and loot being absolute crap is what kills the game not the trade market which is forced upon us due to the former.

Not true.

I just started SSF 3 days ago and I've been blasting. Dropped a Widowhail and chanced a Polcirkeln.

Honestly drops are alot more meaningful now and the game actually feels fun to play and it kinda feels like POE2 is actually better enjoyed as a SSF-only experience.

And this is coming from someone who has a fully decked out stat-stacker and decompose pathfinder build (on trade).

Just my 2 cents.

Unique drop rates are fine, if u dont need something like Astramentis/Headhunter, but thats fine if there are t0-uniques.

3 days is not alot. Hoping it stays this way for you. But play 2-4 weeks and trying to upgrade okayish/good gear where u already can farm t16, but maybe decided to cut offense or defense, because getting the right gear with 5 to 6 fitting stats for defense and offense is not that easy anymore.
I had 5 stashes full of Life-Flasks and same amount of Mana-Flasks, before hitting acceptable rolls on them. Than u swap something and need completly different ones, ohh yeah, go again.
Careful with committing Glassblower on them, because they are really rare, if u decide to change flask setup.
The second part could be avoided with having more knowledge about the build and transitions u make, but wasnt there for me at that time. Maybe i rolled flasks i could have used later on already. But still for the first batch 4-5 days of picking up "every" ultimate flask on the ground.
Imagine this for every part of your gear thats not a unique, or if u want to swap the slot for a really good rare that beats the unique.

I would like PoE-1 Alterations or Scouring, or something like that way more.
Recrafting 3 for 1, picking all the bases in your inventory, rolling, stashing 3 in Reforge-Bench, picking up 1, stashing 3...,
For me that generates way more clicks in total than the PoE-1 method with rolling a high stackable currency. Also picking up tons of bases and stashing.
The Devs said they wanted to reduce Clicks, i feel its more with the System in PoE-2 and it is more disruptive, because u have to Click-Stash-Click-RightClick, and so on.

The bottom line is:

We wanted this to be a good game.

But, it appears they are focused more on their "vision" than listening to player feedback so far.

I hope that changes before release or they are going to be stuck with the same playerbase they had in POE 1 and the same toxic cesspool of negativity in the forums and in-game chat due to that fact.
