" I'm talking to someone else, and even quoted them in my responses which you conveniently cut out. You were the one that personally came after me for absolutely no reason and no substance. Kindly be quiet and keep your childishness out of at least ONE thread please. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Jan 10, 2025, 9:24:51 PM

" At one glance.....how the heck does the game have 3 million active monthly users, yet ALSO only has about 500-700k active daily users across the entire month? That's literally impossible It also says ON THE CHART "Diablo Immortal" lol. You really chose a good source of information right there. #1 Google Warrior never made it past the first number. Here's another: ![]() never broke 40k concurrent players in the last YEAR. Mine is just as "accurate" as yours is. " I can give tons of examples of great games with friction, Diablo 2, Terraria, Valheim, POE1, Darkest Dungeon, Baldurs gate (most of them) Planescape Torment, Ultima Underworld, X-com (OG not reboot). Probably best to just give counter examples like Lost Arc Diablo 3 and 4. Trash games that all have super light weight dumbed down loot systems, skip mechanics and other such trash. Anythig that makes the game easy to just trivialize or bypass or overly meta game. Now lets hear your idea of a great game that doesn't have friction, where everything is effortless and unearned, light weight and easy. (I can actually think of one, but its a massive edge case) Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4. If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. " Terraria and Valheim have more quality of life than PoE by a landslide. In fact they are both games that a large amount of the community mods for even MORE quality of life stuff too. I don't think those examples are very relevant here. |

" Yea I am looking at the one cowmoo just put up and that is more in line with the numbers of players in Diablo 3 right now. Websites like ActivePlayer rely on traffic and ad revenue, so sensationalized or inaccurate statistics can attract more clicks and attention. What a fail lol. 2.4m players and 700k daily lol.... Mash the clean

its relevant they have tons of friction in almost every aspect of their design.
From terriarias tiny inventory that gets filled up with dirt blocks or Valhiems portals that can not teleport ore, forcing you to sail around in the world and interact with boating in a way you wouldn't otherwise need to. Valheim sailing is fucking phenomenal and the main reason you need to do it is that they made ore HEAVY AS FUCK in both senses of the word. Like literally in game values but also "weight". Now you can mod and circumvent this I did a run like that with my kids, we abandoned it less than half way trough because we all loved the "heavy" sailing the feeling that a sea serpent might ruin your night. Without it it was just a less fun playthrough. My 11 year old can tell you why modding something too much can ruin the gameplay. Mods are a perfect illustraiting of my point. Too many will ruin a good game. Anyone who's never modded the fun out of a game or input a Nintendo cheat code and ruined their fun knows what "weight" in a videogame means. Chris Wilson does and literally every good game designer as well. Pandering to players who don't want consequences for their mistakes is a perfect description of what went fundamentally wrong with D3 and 4.
If they wanted mindless mobile game time waster gameplay they sure did make some perplexing choices and marketing statements for 6 fucking years. |

" this is why I asked why you always steer the thread conversation to something that isn't relevant to op? what does THIS have to do with poe2 feedback people commenting in multiple thread with multiple problems is completely different to showing d3 numbers Last edited by toxiitea#5772 on Jan 10, 2025, 9:52:57 PM
