Can we do an event that uses the 99.99% of players
" And yet it did. You can't argue with numbers. " Yet they failed badly even here. It generated nothing, no one talks about it, even race ladder is hidden on the website and can be accessed with special link only. |

" You are arguing with people that go into every thread gaslighting people about how they are "crazy" for noticing things. We can all see plain as day that most players have left and the game is in a rough state. They will argue to your face the sky is green. |

I joined the race. I was halfway through act 1 when the streamers hit act 2 so I just quit.
I would definitely support some sort of event like this that didn't cater to streamers. Maybe even one that they can't participate in. |

" They aren't doing it to cater to streamers, they are doing it for free advertising using their newly hired nobodies on YT and twitch. The event is for GGG not the players. Hence the prizes nobody in their right mind would give the slightest about. How about - the top 10 get every cosmetic in game for both POE 1 & 2. Top 100 Get 1000 coins, top 1000 get 250 coins and all who partake get a frame of brown, yellow, blue and white depending on placement? Yeah and as Satan ice-skates to work on Monday I will show my arse in the window of a McDonalds drive though. You cannot hype a dog shit sandwich without the bread and expect the players to chow down. The event is to promote their product. I don't think it worked the way they intended because you would need to be insurmountably stupid to swallow that turd and give a 5 star review on yelp. The people defending this behavior have been doing it since 2013. NEWSFLASH!! We don't believe you. I don't blame you for quitting, you cannot win a fixed race. |

" I know the reason for the race was publicity and was not aimed at the players themselves which is why I want a different type of event. Maybe something along the lines of finish act 1 in an hour and get a prize etc. Something that an average player could actually try and compete in. |

150 people finished the race.
All you need to know. |

" Based on POE1 servers, and 13 years to get it right, and its still wrong, bad bad server behaviour / net code... i would agree. They just don't have what it takes to be a top contender on that level. They got pretty damn lucky with POE1, in its time, and with what the market needed, but i have a feeling their luck is up. That said, as with every other game / game company on the surface of earth, im sure many will continue to throw support dollars at them, many blindly. POE2 is kinda proof of that. GGG - Why you no?

" Wow really? Where did you get those numbers I am genuinely curious? That would be so hilarious. |

" https://pathofexile2.com/ladder/Act%203%20Boss%20Kill%20Race%201 150 took 7 hours... I was pissed off and quit in 20 min. I remembered why i stopped playing very quickly . I need a weapon...... can't make one ... bye. But watching streamers rage while being hard locked by RNG was great. Ill watch it any day. DS Lily had the most entertaining coverage imo i find her comments funny. Last edited by Jitter912#4278 on Mar 4, 2025, 5:12:31 PM
