How many Gemcutter's Prism do you have? Is it supposed to be so super-rare?

I also have about the same time played as you, and I have found 1 exalted, 1 GCP, and <15 Chaos. RNG doesn't like me much.

Don't begin with your Diablo reasoning nabcakes, RNG is RNG, and u whine u didnt get max of each orb in 7 lvl 40's?

I'll agree to that. I think we shouldn't see so many quality gems.

The possible reason +x% quality gems drop more often would be there is a smorgasbord of different gems, therefore sometimes you may get a gem that is absolutely useless. Whereas there is only one GCP, that's it. Moreover, the % modifiers are random, so you may get a lousy +x% quality gem roll. I think the way they have it right now is intuitive the way it is.

Not really... They simply mean you've been playing x amount of time - but the game isn't finished and there are many years of gametime still to go (at least, some of us hope we can still be playing this game years later) so that drop rate is pretty av. Wanting a change to rare drop rates after a few months of Open Beta (i.e. not even game complete) is a little premature.

Since open beta I have found at least 6 gcps, and I don't even play that often. I've also traded for them a lot and currently have around 15 gcps in my stash. High value currency is supposed to be rare, gcps are very high up there only behind mirrors, exalts, and divines. You're not supposed to find them as if they're transmutes.

Hey op guess what its based on luck. Someone with same amount of time put in as you could very well have found over 300 gcps so far.

I have 5 gcps in my Stash... that's it.
That makes them very rare for me :(

my ranger is 73, my other 3 chars around 20-40. i owned 5 gcps until now whereas 4 of them were traded. i would assume i shot the bad luck jackpot. but i found 1 exalted as well, that makes me lucky again. by the way, i only found 4 chaos orbs during that time ... considering their sustenance it is quite low.

i'm going to put this in a WOW perspective. imagine a gcp as 100 gold. if 100 gold dropped from say every 50 monsters, the economy would be thrown hugely out of whack. a gcp is basically 100 gold.

Well, out of almost 3 55-67 characters I have found 1 GCP. No exalts, or any other rare orbs. Even with over 100% Quality/Quantity.
