It's extremely simple to understand just by way of observation. There are many drop-centric ARPGs with no crafting systems that people love. There are almost no craft-centric ARPGs that people care about, unless they also have drops.

If you think POE1 isn't craft-centric then i don't know what i've been playing for 10 years. Or maybe you're insinuating that nobody cares about POE1 ? bold claim.

Give examples and actual games names for what you consider "craft centric" and "loot centric" or we might as well be talking fumes here.

BTW, I agree that games don't require craft to be enjoyable. I loved titan quest and grim dawn a lot and they are definitely loot-centric, but don't even try to compare loot quality between these games and POE2. But we're not talking about loot quality here. The post is about crafting options.

To be fair, at least how I understood it, he meant:
"There are no crafting-centric games that don't have also loot"

How did you farm the currency to buy the items to recomb and the omens and stuff?

I do not farm currency. I take the required currency from other people.

The most profitable this season were jewels, almost all of them I sold for over a divine. And evasion gear. Especially boots.

Expedition with monster drops, ritual with extra reroll, and irradiation on each tower. With increased waystone drop chance doing citadels, so I get multiple key fragments from the bosses.

But the trading is like the major income. The "farming" gives next to nothing, compared to getting divines from others.

And this is okay in your eyes? How it all should be? In arpg about farming? Why don't you go play stocks or whatever then?

Well is there even one ARPG that have craft but no loot ?

I never played one if it even exists... IF it is indeed what he meant then sorry for misunderstanding but i don't see the point he's making if there isn't even an example of that existing at all

Beside one could argue that Last Epoch is a craft centered game with virtually no loot since you litterally craft everything you wear. Seeing that it's having a proper success despite the game being factually behind in everything beside game systems and combat feel, i'd say its a good example...

Aaah. Good to know.

So you are a trader!?

How does it come that you haven't listed a single item in SC and/or HC, not even in standard from last league? Every single item sold out?

It is how the world works.

Work as much as you want, as hard as you want and you get one.
Find 100 people to work for you like slaves, and you get one hundred.

I do not like the system.

But I learned to sell swords to conners fanboys, shields to pohx fangirls, rings to sirmustache lackeys, and my eye doesn't even blink.

Sad but it is what it is...

It just looks to you like that, because you are not looking at the right place.

What's the right place?

Only thing you can try is saving a fractured base. There youll get higher chances and the thing is bricked anyway. I have no fun doing expedition. But thats on me I guess.
