Player power is so high that it is ruining the game. 1-button screen clear is BORING.

It's a matter of personal taste. Sadly, the majority of gamers likes an easy game, and companies with money in their mind submits to the whims of the majority. Enjoy seeing goblins die the moment their little toes shows up on the corner of that ultrawide screen

Indeed so Devs can bring easy mode for them and everyone will be happy. It's not acceptable some players to melt the mouse for a little damage while other playing the superman hero. Or at least just reverse to old patch 0.1.0 where everyone had 1-5 options about broken builds.

Upcoming patch would not fix balance issues and the people are decreasing day by day. I can't find anymore parties to play and i play alone but for how long. I'm tired.

Please show me the data that people arent playing because of zoom zoom.

Data is everywhere where zoom exists, in every such game. Because when you zoom, it basically means you've made it, game is already over, you are a god, congratulations. And people stop playing when they reach this level. If they reach it in 2 days, they quit in 3-4 days. If they reach it in 7 days, they quit in 7. Not all, but majority. Hence all these steam graphs of sharp decline each season/league.
Honestly, most fun I've had in an ARPG has been 0.2.

I played ED/C on controller, it's constant run and gun

Endgame has issues with lack of content, and playing a screen clearer revealed that immediately, meanwhile every map I run has me playing the actual game underneath all the skill effects and it's a rush
I'm OK with stupid Overpowered but only if you invested 6months worth of play and actually good at the game.

I agree at the moment even a tool can one shot bosses.

You speak with unproven cliches. No one has done any research on the "majority of players."

yeah companies do not research ways to increase profits.

You quoted only part of the message, taking it out of context. It goes on to say that there are many challenging games where bosses and all mobs on the map are not killed at the touch of a button. Where there is a synergy of skills and teamwork. And these games are very popular. Can I give you examples, or can you guess for yourself?

Why stop? You could farm currency/gear for an alt, continue the fun. That is, if the fun is in the journey like you posit.

That isn't happening in .20

There are quite a few posts about people quitting before even getting to maps. Stating the rewards just aren't worth the trouble, and that the entire process feels like a slog.

Time "invested" =/ skill
Maximizing engagement by increasing RNG/ friction has HEAVY diminishing returns, and slight overcompensation can lead to drastic engagement falloffs.

I agree with the initial post - player power getting too high and endgame being mainly about speed clearing clearing maps instead of encountering actual challenges and engaging combat is one of my main concerns with the direction the game is going. That's fun for a day and then gets quickly boring. There also won't be a reason to look forward to new content or abilities, if they in the end result in the same speed clearing playstyle. It would be just new visuals without actually new gameplay.

Yes one can. But most of players don't want to. They are willing to put X hours into 1 such journey, accomplish it and that is it.

Exactly that: FEW posts. These are not majority of people who play.

I like a ACTION RPG that is FUN.
I like feeling powerfull, it is FUN.

If you do not like it, maybe this is not the game for you....move on, good bye, cya l8ter.
The ONLY weapon that hasn't insane damage of a broken build is Crossbow. You can see it on videos. It's a slow paced game ( not actually powerful) with some percentage of taking serious damage. Monster don't don't die in whole screen and need 2-3 actions to clear screen after using dodge roll and combined skill actions. It's not one button screen clearing!

Generally all the other weapons can be overpowered if mixing with specific broken builds and that is the reason that most players don't play with crossbow any more. Because it fits to Jonathan's vision, something that noone want.
