Player power is so high that it is ruining the game. 1-button screen clear is BORING.

The real problem is that the power is not equal-ish amongst classes. The "one button" specs that get so much attention, well, they run away with their power so early on in the game, and it never really slows down that much, that you just really get left behind (currency-wise).

Power is only fun as long as it is meaningful. when you start to wipe screens in one click.. ther eis no progression after that.. only hwo fast you can move..s o you can wipe more screens in one click. Zoom zoom makes for BAD power progression perception. Zoom starts too soon in game. If you reached zoom zoom at level 95.. okish.. but at level 65 you are already up to your neck with it.

Maybe this is the best way to repharese it:

If the only way to play endgame is oneshotting the screen and fight bosses within seconds we shouldn't really argue about what is "meaningful"
but are we playing an ARPG or an Battler-Idle game?

because endgame builds arent even measured in dps after a point.
Players measure it in "divine per hour farm potential metric"

We want equal opportunities. One click screen clearing to all of us or nerf anything related on it. It doesn't respect our time and the most annoying thing is that party games for some of us that don't use broken builds give a new role, the role of a following pet.....
There are ton of unfixed bugs left and ton of balance issues in game that make people attack others with non-existent truths.

And in the middle stands Jonathan's vision that brings new Runes for solving them!!!

No wonder why game become empty tin....

24h peak on Steam:
- GD: 2.637
- D4: 12.469
- LE: 14.048
- PoE2: 28.999

Yeah, empty.

You understand that they are working on the new PoE1 league right now?

Maybe i should try Poe1 with my Pentium III pc. It's 12 years old game and surely i will have no problems to run it.

Wat.

Killing monsters with one hit is fun. Killing a whole screen of monsters with one click is fun. Running fast across maps is fun. Looting is fun. It's boring to walk around in a wheelchair and loot 10,000 rares and a couple of exalts. Paсл size is also crap in poe2 by the way.

Yep this

You can find plenty of "peak endgame video builds" like this. The one I linked is only a year old upload btw.

Hmm... And this is why we make these threads.
The best way to describe whats going on here is the induced demand of builds.

"we want oneshotting the screen, because that is fun"
Devs check data:
"everyone play onetap screen builds, so we create bullethell endgame bosses with invincibility dance dance revolution battle script"

Look... I hope devs don't make "poe(1 mk)2"
They said they want a slower paced meaningful game.
I hope they did not forget their promise, because what you want is POE1. You can create your walking simulator there.

Personally I want a poe2 where meaningful gameplay is described in crowd control and trade off decisions with combo playstyle.
Currently its not possible, because the only way to play is to kill everything in 1 second. You cant have 2-3 skill combos if you're dead in the setup time...

Give us reaction skills, counter enemy types:
speedsters running towards you: use quicksand, earthquake, glue trap, whatever... mechanical purpose: enemies with faster speed slow more.

Knockback: bigger enemies fly back further + wall collision stuns them/damage more

blinding clouds to give ranged enemies actual loss of line of sight. These are already in the game, but instead of smokescreen reduce accuracy of enemies, it should force them to walk out.
If I raise a shield wall, they want to walk around (except grenadier mobs, who still bombrd the wall)

And give us some trade-off defensive abilities with long cooldown.

Every endgame build is about 1-2 button anyway.
I'm not sure that I understand the opposition to removing the blasting build direction from PoE2. PoE1 still exists where that is the play-style, so why not let PoE2 be distinct?

Yes I know the PoE1 release cadence has slowed as a result of PoE2 development, but the lack of patience for a free video game update release feels a little petulant and misguided. Surely there are more builds you can try out, and also other games to play in the meantime?

By comparison it has been 7 years since Grim Dawn's last expansion, with the vague promise of Grim Dawn 2 at some indistinct point in the future while they build their new game engine and work on Farthest Frontier. No one is complaining about the delays to the new upcoming GD expansion (considering it was a surprise anyway). If anything it's given me time to try out PoE1, PoE2 and LE in the meantime...

Anyways, personally, the early game boss and mini-boss encounters are by far and away the most interesting and engaging content in PoE2 I find, so I hope that they can find a way to maintain that feeling throughout the whole game.
