Player power is so high that it is ruining the game. 1-button screen clear is BORING.

Yes I know the PoE1 release cadence has slowed as a result of PoE2 development, but the lack of patience for a free video game update release feels a little petulant and misguided. Surely there are more builds you can try out, and also other games to play in the meantime?

By comparison it has been 7 years since Grim Dawn's last expansion, with the vague promise of Grim Dawn 2 at some indistinct point in the future while they build their new game engine and work on Farthest Frontier. No one is complaining about the delays to the new upcoming GD expansion (considering it was a surprise anyway). If anything it's given me time to try out PoE1, PoE2 and LE in the meantime...

Anyways, personally, the early game boss and mini-boss encounters are by far and away the most interesting and engaging content in PoE2 I find, so I hope that they can find a way to maintain that feeling throughout the whole game.

If there will be a Grim Dawn 2 game, i will buy it before even release of early access. Those games is an example of how to respect a Community.

Oh, that's why it's:
Grim Dawn 24h peak: 3.197
poe1 24h peak: 5.491
poe2 24h peak: 27.583

Right, because people love playing games they hate.

Bro don't compare two different category games.GD it's not a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG).

Wait GD2 and you will see the difference if they made it online action RPG.

Bro, poe2 is not an MMORPG.
I was actually going to say that in fairness, GD is not a live service game like PoE 1/2, so there aren’t the same expectations of constant updates (although there are still fairly regular GD patches regardless).

My point was more that PoE1 still exists if you want the 1-button, blasty combat, and people who enjoy and play PoE1 should maybe be a little more patient in waiting for their game updates and not try to turn PoE2 into PoE1 just because they are frustrated that they aren’t getting the previous 3 month league release cadence - especially when it was obvious that GGG’s bandwidth was not up to the task of delivering on their initial hopes for update timelines, so it was all kind of forewarned.

Let PoE2’s combat be its own distinct thing and it’s still possible to go try a different PoE1 build or a different game while you wait for the next league. It’s all a bit moot now anyways since apparently GGG have committed to 4 month timelines for future PoE1 and PoE2 updates, releasing whatever content they manage in that timeframe, rather than the it’s ready when it’s ready approach.

——

As for concurrent player numbers, lots of factors effect those: public awareness (you had some of the biggest streamers in the world play PoE2 and D4 and spread awareness of them to their audiences); newness and novelty; recent patches, updates and expansions; endgame longevity and amount of grinding required to finish a run etc.

Personally I am not playing GD at the moment, and therefore not contributing to the concurrent player numbers, despite it being my favourite, because I want to feel completely fresh for when the new expansion releases. But I am contributing to the LE and PoE2 numbers while I wait.

One button is like one gyrus. It's enough for fun, but you can't count on anything more.
One button clear is not game. It's coffee time...

If you have skills then use it in game. If not go for coffee and press one button....
How is a minion player supposed to team-up with these builds and play together?

What is the purpose of this game if everything dies on pressing 1 button?

When players make such build (week 1 new league btw), what is the motivation to keep playing or making new builds if there isn't anything stronger possible?

Everything already dies on 1 Lightning Spear on a 80level character after a week in a league, what better character you want us to make to play?

Builds like this absolutely kill any meaning in this game.
Keep that speed-stupidity in PoE 1, please. It already has a very small playerbase compared to PoE 2. Give them the dopamine and keep PoE 2 meaningful, please.
So you picked up the isolated builds that are designed to fullfill one purpose and you put them all into the "too boring/easy" bag whilst also forgetting about drawbacks of each of these builds, correct?

Have you even tried to actually make an original build? Cause I have a feeling you just went for meta build and got bored because it was too easy. You want fun and not - easy? Make your own build nagger.

Bro you don't understand that the problem isn't to pick up your own build. Becouse even then its impossible partying with players using broken builds. They ruining your game and make you feel like collector gold boy.

Yesterday I played with dude that used the broken build vacuum cleaner ( yea the big circle around char that destroying everything before even noticing what a hell was, and ruined my game because i tried to reach him and realised that i couldn't not only hit one single monster but also catch him!

So Devs if this is a game for you for me it's loosing my time with (Removed by Support)....
