Crit Vs Reflect Unbalanced

1. I have mentioned one of the most "awesome" mechanics already. BM maps. Another one is Temporal Chains mod which is hardly ever run and NOT because of the difficulty of beating such map. Chaos damage bypassing ES - that's my favorite. HP builds don't give a damn, CI builds don't care. Lowlife? Lowlifers have to aquire one of the most elusive items in this game only to survive stray hits from mere trashmobs.

2. Not being able to comprehend written text is not a sin. So I will explain it one more time nice and slowly. When the gap between average damage and top damage is too high its either the lower end too low and poses no threat at all or high damage is too high.

3. What makes you believe totem users can't be built to survive a hit or two? It's like stating "you don't need life nodes if you have armor". Provided equivalent gear totemists will live longer because, SURPRISE, they don't have to engage in melee.

4. My biased mind tells me that there is a strong correlation between number of skills and how good the game is. This is not strictly true but I won't further argue on that topic. Enjoy your left-click gaming experience.

5. I am glad we have cleared this confusion.
The thing about reflect is that it can make a 66 map harder then a 77, and make a lvl 90 or whatever die in a map 30 levels lower then him.

It should be scaled atleast to the level of the maps imo.. It's already strong by itself, it shouldn't reflect crits.. It completely removes the possibility of crit builds in HC.

Welcome back.

You gotta love how he comes back with a half dozen different accounts and none of them have any characters on the ladder them. He either has no endgame experience or is too afraid to post on his account with his characters.

And yes, there are pretty much no high end self-cast crit builds in HC for precisely this reason. Whether or not that SHOULD be the case makes for an interesting argument.

BM maps are retarded, I agree. Thats just one random affix in the whole game.
You dont run temp chains map? ''hardly ever run'' ... by who? you? I have movespeed on boots, and the - attack speed / cast speed is reduced, not less. So it doesnt impact me in any way since I dont play a 1 aps / cps build to begin with. This is you oneshotting your arguments again ... just because you are bad / hate a challenge, you assume everyone else is. Temp chains map is a 'freekill' mod to me.
Shavronnes is stupidly expensive, not everyone has it. Its a good tradeoff for the massive more spell damage boost that build gets imo. The problem to begin with is the rare spawning of chaos res items and the few passives available and their awkward locations.

Thats all you got? This is what makes the game a hard counter / constant gear check thing?

Again, you havent played top tier maps. It shows. Even otherwise simple mobs with the right map mods can turn super deadly.

They're fragile and glass cannony as hell. Its the whole point of totems. They will die to a rhoa pack or archer barrage or titty bitch assault faster than a speeding bullet, if they dont keep both eyes open. At least they dont die to reflect

4. My biased mind tells me that there is a strong correlation between number of skills and how good the game is. This is not strictly true but I won't further argue on that topic. Enjoy your left-click gaming experience.

lol, get over it noob. I dont use only one skill and there are more than enough slots.

You have zero experience with hardcore. How can you say such a thing? Do you know every HC player's exact spec and gear? No, you dont. You cant handle reflect or lightning thorns? Get eyes adjusted, there is a VISUAL indicator. When you see the buff, you switch to your alternate strategy and pew pew them down like Tony Montana. But some people are used to iddqd in doom and just can't handle a challenging game. I can understand that.

BlossyBits Standard Witch 391 89 1,823,879,746
SaucyBits Standard Ranger 7393 82 1,067,430,952
SparkyBits Anarchy Witch 45 90 1,956,193,347

^^ lol

Thank you for this enlightening post.

"Get eyes adjusted."

Also I am unsure by what you mean by "handle reflect." This is a feedback thread. I am quite sure that many of the people talking about reflect negatively in this thread can "handle" it just fine.

Although I suppose it makes your argument seem more valid if your portray everybody on the opposing side as being incompetent. Excellent tactic.

Some people don't like playing a visual form of Simon Says where the punishment is instant death. I personally think that's incredibly shallow, boring gameplay, and a substitute for adding challenging content.

No one would complain about something that doesnt irk them. Hence they cannot handle it (ie read: adapt gear / skills / playstyle). Make sense for once, scrub

There is challenging content and mechanics, you need to step out of ledge farming. But if everything was so easy as you say, why are you here flooding the forums with your tears?

I'm starting to notice a very clear pattern with your posts. It seems you are more interested in insulting people that coming up with rational arguments or contributions.

Of course it irks me. But that doesn't mean I'm some newb who dies to it constantly. It's the kind of thing that eventually instagibs you because you cannot be perfect 100% of the time, denying you a mans death.

Why do you think Gankstaboo is now making some CI-Vaal Pact bow build? Specifically to eliminate the threat of reflect.

Are you going to call him a scrub and bad names too, because he died to reflect on a level 96 hardcore ranger?

Oh look, it's the latest joke account of the troll. Going to reveal your high level characters yet? I wonder how long it'll take for this account of yours to get banned.
The visual indicator is as good as invisible when youre doing anything higher than 35 quantity 68 maps.

Lightning thorns has a more meaningful indicator because you will generally see the knights charge head first before the lightning thorns caster work their magic.
