yep make at least than when cast when damage taken is at level 20 the damage u need to proc is like 800-1000 is twice as needed as now...

Doesn't really matter if the gem is op or not. It was a good fix to some of the most boring and tedious defensive spells in any game. Having to spam cry+molten shell every other second for hours on end just makes you lose interest in the game really. And don't come with some argument like: it can be geared around, map Kole, Dominus, Imperatix etc fucks you up even with all of those skills used.

Yes i detest casting spells when i'm playing a mf*ing melee, it just slow down the gameplay killing all the action for me and sometimes it kills my char aswell if i cast during a fight, makes me feel like i'm a punching bag. If i wanted to play an rts i'd choose another game.

This will be offensive, but incase your skull is to thick to comprehend, we want fluid combat, not something that takes ages to do.

CoDT was a convenience for me like for many other people, some used it to faceroll stuff with spells linked and i don't mind.

But for defense purposes what you should atleast do is make Molten Shell and enduring cry instant cast and able to cast while moving or performing other action. And guess what, people will actually use them as a stand alone skill.

If you do that people won't care about CoDT and you'll be able to just put it on the backburner with all the other useless skills. But if you don't believe me, just make a tankish melee character and see for yourself how casting EC and MS gets tiring and keeps breaking the action.

I don't even care if a change like that would make ranged more powerful, but it would also mean that melee would be so much more fucking fun to play.

What you don't get is that the gem is NOT OP, kaom was OP, this gem IS NOT.

This gem just let have us a better and smoother gameplay, avoiding such annoying mechanics like cast and recast enduring cry, etc.. getting disappointed more and more.

Discharger pretty much uses 4-5 skills linked to cwdt :p so nope. Youd have to: cast curse 1, cast curse 2, cast molten shell, cast enduring cry (how many times dead now? :p) etc.
the more I read the more I wish I didn't spend time and money & getting my hopes up tbh.

P.s. Remake some skills to be instant and maybe then you can rely on more builds that need to cast 2,3,4 abilities during combat or before in a very short time span.
Sometimes looking for trouble gets trouble to look for you.

I played a dualwelding cleaver with 4 auras running before the official release. I changed that to 2 auras with dualstrike and cwdt after release. I will see how the changes affect the defense on my character but there are too many changes to melee characters in the past few weeks.

Also can you please give cleave a better scaling when dualwelding please? I wanna use the demon hand effect and its simply more fun to use cleave compare to dualstrik.
I worked my ass off to get codt,didnt buy it and take the short root like a lot did.The patch/nerf seems somewhat lazy in that the damage taken figures were not adjusted to suit the changes also.Seriously at max level of codt your supported lvl 17 gems(any lower really isnt end game material) will have you sustaining 2500 damage before casting.Its very easy for low level chars to say thats great ggg,try being a high level and adjust to the change.try soloing 70+ maps(that becomes a critical change)..Its just a very lazy patch

Edit: for the record my planned build got an unexpected double buff from 1.0.1

Cwdt nerf is a great buff to heavy armor user and those who can take a beating. I hate armor, but this game already cast the Curse of Curiosity on me. I will have to build around it if I were to utilize cwdt
