1.0.1 Patch Notes

so when is the fix comming for losing target when using a single target skill then mousing over items on ground skills etc.? or was it a planned change on release? its highly annoying

This is a flawed argument because there's only a finite set of defensive options available, particularly for certain builds (I.E., anything melee). Of course people are always going to use a skill that helps them use the only skills which we have to fill up those empty gem slots.

You might as well make a case that gems like Life Leech or Life on Hit should be taken out of the game because everybody uses them.

A skill should be balanced in and of itself. Balance should not be based on whom is using what.

That is annoying. It's AoE skills, too.

FWIW, when using a skill bound to a right mouse (probably left, too. I never use it) you don't lose the target.

I am using cwdt on both my main characters because it was a no brainer after the aura nerf. so yes it is nice, and will be weaker now, but I will probably continue to use it:

cast when damage taken about lvl 8-10, takes a bit over +/- 1000 damage to be triggered.
you can run molten shell and enduring cry at decent levels, giving you about 400 armor and prob enough enduring charges.
I will most likely run increased duration for a bit over 60% longer duration to make up for the reduced trigger frequency.

I'm also considering testing cast on crit with the previous setup of molten shell & enduring cry (not sure if I crit enough for that).

hooray for the map changes!!! hope it will be noticeable.

Leveling up CoDT is the most stupid action and have no benefit for that. This is absolutely not a balance patch but its just excluding the CoDT out of the game. Most people like that gem but GGG did stupid things on it. Rebalace it ASAP. Do balance not exclusion.
Reduced Mana is the only gem you guys are right about but it is not as abusable as CwDT was. The other gems you guys are mentioning are NOT used in ANY build no matter if melee or ranged or whatever. Reduced Mana and none of the other gems enable you to use multiple gems without mana costs and cast time.
As I said: You can be angry for GGG introducing CwDT how it was in the first place, but you should accept their decision that they don´t want everyone to run around with endurance charges and molten shell.
Lacking defensive choices should be tackled differently (like with release: increased life node percentage etc. new defensive SKILLS)
What I don´t understand: The game was great and super fun before CwDT and now you ALL hate the game because of that one single change? That´s just weird. Well I guess it´s the same as when they changed the Auras upon release and in 2 weeks no one will talk about it anymore. At least I hope so.

PS: CwDT is still VIABLE and USEFULL!

yes this game is free, but people like me, spend money on microtransactions. i can say i spend so far more money on path of exile than on d3.
