You forgot to link your Kaom's in this post. Please edit it ASAP and link it to show off. I think you've only linked it 4 or 5 times in this thread. Hurry and edit that post so you can brag about something worth a whopping 100 dollars. Truly godly, a high-roller.

If D3 taught me anything it was that there are a shitload of people out there willing to pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars to buy gear and currency. POE has a lot of former D3 players. I will guarantee the people who spent loads of cash on the RMAH that are playing POE are still spending loads on RMT sites.

This makes too much sense, and it makes my everything sad.

Bring on RoS, eh? ~_~

That said, I think there are some legitimately and worthy currency-rich players in the game who have spent the time to learn the market and play it well. I see nothing wrong with that. It's virtually work and even virtual work deserves some sort of pay.

As long as those of us who'd rather play can do still do so, I'm okay with that.

Well said m8 :)

The key to economic prosperity is understanding that the vast majority of people are impatient and will pay more or take less for items to have what they want immediately rather than wait for a more profitable deal.

In a game like WoW it is what allows players to take 10g worth of mats and sell the craft for 30g on the AH. Any player could buy just the mats, find someone to craft for them, and tip that person 10g and come away with 10g off the cost. Some people do it, but most are lazy and pay the 30g because they don't want to wait. I've gold capped and bought all the pretty mounts in WoW by essentially buying the mats and selling the convenience.

With PoE there is even more potential because its a barter system with loose rates, no easily visible standard of value, and high scarcity for the top currencies and items. It is easier for people to generate wealth flipping and to use that wealth to buy top items and currencies to dictate pricing.

Dupes!

Like in Diablo2: Nobody is duping and all have enigma :)

Of course not all rich player are dupers. Most are really good traders and got rich by trading or they found a super item and sold it. But the huge amount of exalted and eternal orbs in the game is created by dupers.

It's not difficult to become rich, it just takes time.

100% agree!

Getting some of the huge amount of duped orbs is not difficult by trading.

I for example used about 40 exalted orbs I got by trading. I found 2 in the same time.

Just farm alterations and change them to fusings at the NPC vendors. Sell the fusings for exalted orbs to other player. How long do you need to farm fusings worth 1 exalted?

I need 8 hours for it. How long do you need to play to find one single exalted?

Now think about where these exalted came from!

If you have proof that there is duping, you really should let the devs know.

They do know!

It is so obvious how it works. The only secret some hackers have is how to crash the servers at the moment they want. The duping it self is done with the guild stash.

After a crash the server restore the player inventory status to some seconds ago before the server crash. The server lose his information too and reload it from a data base server.
(You can test it, just identify an item short time before a server crash and it is not identified after you get in the game again)

The huge problem is, that the orb put in the guild stash is saved to the data base in the moment it is put in. So the data base saved the orb in the guild stash and restores the player inventory from the data base some seconds ago.

This means the orb exits two times. The restored one in the player inventory and the one in the guild stash.

And this is used for duping since the guild stash was put in the game. Every server crash is a dupe try. EVERY!!!

A server crash is not the desync. You can detect a server crash for example that you can not get in a map gain even the time for the map is not over. You get something like "portal not connected to map instance". The server crashed and lost all information of the game. So he can not let you in the map again because the information about the map level is lost by the crash.

It is no coincidence that the prices of an exalt decreased from over 30 chaos to under 20 (hardcore leage) during some hours just a day after the guild stash was put in the game.

Here are some examples people tell about server crashes.

When RMT bots are flooding every league with currency and RMT users are inflating the prices of everything, how are normal players supposed to survive. We can always play self found in a league where everyone else if flipping or RMTing there way to the top I guess. It just sucks to play a game with such low drop rates that seems to be moving more and more to a self found or RMT/flipping only play style. I would love to see a self found league to see if many of these supposed great streamers can be on top without the flood of help they get. As we have seen recently some top streamers aren't against breaking the rules to stay at the top.
damn i'm not close to 120 exalts yet :(( (these are from anarchy -> to standart i don't actually play on standart anymore)

top kek
