Poll: Monster life number display
Should numbers be shown on the monster life bars?
|
Would like to have different color for alley and enemy.
This is another way for me to distinguish between something I need to fight or not. Since I got confused with some of the summons (perhaps I am still new to the game). Unless it can hide themselves, then the number can be off. |

I think it should definately be an option. :D

From personal experience I can tell: the more options - the better, especially options like this one.

I would like it as an option since some people wouldn't like this and then both sides win in the process. I say it's a win-win kinda situation, right?

No reason not to put it in as an option.
You can always add an extra "Advanced UI options" tab for stuff like this to prevent the options screen from being cluttered. And even if the Options screen was cluttered, it would only be a very minor issue and way easier to live with than not having this information at all. |

I am always very bothered when I cannot see the hp of a mob I am fighting (regardless if it is a trash mob or a boss). Right now I know how much damage my spells do, but can't compare it because I have no idea how much life mobs on my level have.
If You could add hp values on the life-bar that shows up at the top-middle part of the screen when you mouse over an enemy that would be awesome! Of course, there would be people who won't like this. So adding it as a setting in the options menu should make everyone happy! Just to make sure I won't get misunderstood - I suggest !no additional life bars! just add numbers inside the life bar that shows up at the top of the screen when you mouse over an enemy. - No cluttering, no problem. Def need small lifebars on top of of the mobs; the one at the top of the screen doesn't cut it.
The game in its current state isn't very readable. That is to say monsters, and players, blend together. These games are about fast paced action and being able to read the scene is very important for players to feel like they are doing well when reacting to what they see. Small healthbars will enable the player to quickly assess the screen and decide on his next move. It is very frustrating to be helping your friends kill a group but to be taking damage from mobs that are hidden by the environment or simply blend in too much to the surroundings. It is a cheap feeling and reflects bad on the game. Along these same lines, I would suggest removing, or adding an option to disable, the ability to target team-members. It can get quite busy in smaller areas and has an adverse effect on gameplay. There is a toggle key for targeting corpses; one for allies would be awesome. |

Definitely an option. And one that just overlays it onto the current health bar. It isn't necessary to have all the mobs walking around with numbers floating above their head, it would ruin the visuals.

Since people like both ways and shouldn't be a huge problem to make it as an option, of course that is the best solution making everyone happy :)
