If you stay at place world becomes "alert" of that summoning more reinforcements. The other countermeasure is slow anninhilation of the dungeon in the current instance behind the players, or making the explored area become poisoning (DoT). In a wipe this resets. Flasks are refilled at checkpoints or small altars (this could be quite often), and players, which became the food for zombies inbetween checkpoints, can travel to new checkpoints the party (not themselfeves) has opened.

And well, there will a lot of loot even with general penalty to mf, but absolutely not everything could be picked up, because party will be squashed by mobs from it. Greed torture.
...and in light of a recent spark on the suggestions forum, the following league rules might be interesting:

1. Items may be equipped and used while unidentified.

2. scrolls of wisdom do not drop. There is no method of identifying what items do save through empirical testing and checking the character window.

3 (optional). Items may have negative or trade-off mods, such as "unremovable-without-currency-item", "strength penalty" or "defense-penalty-but-stuns-attackers".

In this particular league, a certain percentage of magical items (like 25-50%) could have curses. The curses could range from almost harmless (such as lowering visibility) to very dangerous (such as lowering your max HP to 50% of its natural value). Cursed items could also be BoE and require, like Skivverus said, a currency item that allows you to remove it.

It would be interesting if characters could be cursed to be nearsighted so the world (including monsters) would get blurrier farther away from the character.

or a fog of war type of effect lowering sight distance this element is used in the PvP game bloodline champions and it is quite useful :)

Well i had an idea for a league. Honestly it would be a more co-op heavy one not sure if this kinda of thing is even very plausible.

When the league would start you would have to pick a class type and then you would be assigned a clan. eg; clan1 clan2 clan3 and clan4. All of these clans would be subdivided into 3 tribes and each tribe would have four quads. Now these quads would be set to one leader always being the strongest person in the group(i like the idea of leading by strength fits into the POE universe) these quads would be small enough to work independently, but also retrieve orders from the tribe and the tribe getting orders from the clan. Now the objectives could vary. Lets say clan1 must kill 10,000 Monsters or accumulate this many trophy's. The whole idea is that instead of a single victor a whole clan would be recognized albeit the clan leader would get props.

These clans could also share resouces like a private clan economy.

Also a note in pvp there would be incentives for killing a other clan's members. If the league would be permadeath so that if they're gone that clan is weakens. however pvp would only be enabled at clan wars where every day/week the clan would send it strongest to do battle and the winner gets a prize and the loser buries there dead.

To start off i think that each player would have to have skirmishes within their group to see who is in charge in the beginning.

For a breakdown of the power in one clan from greatest to least would be as follows.

Clan>Tribe>Quad

(1)Clan=48
(3)Tribe=16
(4)Quad=4

Leader of the Clan= Strongest in all the tribes.

Leader of each tribe= Strongest in all that tribe's quads.

Leader of the Quad= The strongest out of those four players.

This whole idea hinges on how well people can play together and the idea that objectives can be set by the developers.

My proposition:
Gladiators league - pure PvP perm death league with only arenas, the place of most hardcore players; matches where you can only win or die. There would be a ladder of course and 'hall of fame' with the best but probably already dead characters ;)

This league could have no levelling - all characters would have the highest level or something in the middle.

Some drops from dead enemies maybe...

I like the concept of an arena style that allows you to 'upgrade' your character based on how many 'points' you score during a fight. Every character starts out at level 1 and instead of grinding the game itself, you'd do PVP for upgrade points. upgrades could be levels or random tiers of items or anything really.

Not sure if GGG would implement this cause leagues can only make the game harder. Also what would they do when the league ends and they have to go back to the parent league. I could see if they got deleted. This idea would be fun for experimentation, but not sure how GGG feels about people trying out end game builds in minutes of work.

I can think of many leagues... Well i think i got one. Group Of Players Progress into the game with the timer of ( few minutes or so) when the time runs out top player ( or two players with the most points ) get some items - Items cant be bought ( no going to the town ) you get points from kills ( stronger enemyes would give more points ) and gold ( you collect gold from the corpses ,chests,urns etc.. ) the 2 players who collect the smallest amount of points have to duel when one of them die the other stays in the game with some extra points for killing the other player. If you like my idea or you want me to think of some more ideas send me email i work for free just to increase awesomenes of the game.
