RF needs buffed if they fix "snapshot"

Actually most of the summoners that are doing Uber Atziri successfully (if not all) are self-casting summons during the fight. Snapshotting is just good for maps, and for MF summoners.

exactly. when i built my RF toon i made a point of running a lot of content _without_ snapshotting. i don't snapshot on my summoner (well i kind od- sidhbreath and chober when i remember) because i'm too lazy, and i generally forget to.

RF is fine. even without snapshotting it's not too hard to get something like 3-4k FLAT damage from a life based build and alot more from an ES build. No min/max, no to hit roll. You just stand there and do 3k dps ! that's a pretty awesome debuff.

oh, and that's the obvious "tooltip-ish" damage. then there's elemental weakness and EE.

and after all the QQ is done, here's an idea. Really go low-life and then hang on to a redbeak. You just got your 100% of your 200% back.

so you know. what exactly is all the complaining about ?

My point was that with snap-shot RF gone, we will finally see what builds will utilize it and what builds will not.

The community has formed this idea about RF based on a faulty mechanic, it is time to fix it and see what the community then does with it imo.

So much wrong here.

Currently, RF is usually snapshotted the following way:

1) RF is in your carcass jack.
2) Weapon Swap to double redbeak, cast a BM aura
3) Equip jack, cast RF, weapon swap back, and replace chest
4) (optional) pop a flask to get back to full HP

Here's my question (@GGG): Could I keep RF going if I don't remove the gem? Say, in a 5L searing touch in my off hand? I'm just going to weapon swap away from it but RF will stay equipped.

I'd personally like some amount of clarification so I can figure out how to play the char I ground ~30 ex in orbs for to buy a Kaom's when the new patch comes out.

doon cuebiyari works for increasing rf damage even when not on low life , it also adds str to increase your max life and gives you a nice place to put your flame surge gem. shouldnt be hard to reach 800 str as you want as much str on your gear anyways as an rf character, and in that case you only lose half of the bonus from your redbeaks.

i dont get that "without kaoms" thing,

i think RF works totally fine with carcassjack and without snapshot
