These terms all have to do with context. The context may be lore-based, linguistic, cultural, even theological. Concerning lore: one realm's lexicon can borrow a term from another and define it similarly (or differently/keep it the same), and this does often happen, but there are no gold standard gender-specific (or otherwise)correct terms for magic users that fit all lore. The terms may mean one thing in the context of one game/novel/film's lore and something else entirely in another. As for the gender issue, I'm enjoying the game too much to mind if I'm playing as a woman or a man. The class I enjoy playing the most is the opposite of my gender. If I could customize, I would. Alas, I cannot. Such is life. Last edited by Eimear#0050 on Apr 1, 2012, 9:30:59 AM

ITT: We judge the English language based upon mediocre books and TV shows.
Witch can be used for both males and females. |

" Alternatively, it's like calling a male nurse... a nurse. |

What people seem to be forgetting is IMMERSION. Having a choice of sex for the different classes will contribute greatly to the immersion of the game. I believe this is what is contributing to so many people wanting a choice in terms of sex. How can one become fully immersed in a game world when they are not able to connect to their character on so basic a level? Just a though.
