Tried to kill Shaper twice before getting Dying Sun and +2barrage hat, with Opus 5L. I didn't even have Vulnerability on hit. Failed miserably, I didn't have enough damage nor skill so balls spread all over the room.
After getting Dying Sun + +2barrage tried to kill Shaper again. Failed the first, but managed to kill him in the second try (so in my 4th in total). Don't have Snakebite Vulnerability, so I used the CoH setup cmphx mentioned in the main post. I didn't use Ice Golem, instead I used Blink Arrow with Faster Attacks (important to dodge the Shaper jump). I'm really happy since I didn't even try to kill Shaper last league, so I'm happy I killed him after 4 tries (even when I have high end gear and should have killed him without +2 devoto's or dying sun). I think next tries will be deathless (or almost), because it's a really mechanical fight so it's just muscle memory (every death was my fault and a lot of them were stupid) So I only can say thanks cmphx for the guide and for answering questions when I messaged him in-game or here. Really enjoyed it. Servers have been not really good these weeks but I had a blast. https://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAABAYBAABeAdwDHgUtBbUHmQguCIkM8hCSES8UIBR1Fr8Zjh9BIXYj0yP2JpUqCypbKwouUzB8MfoyMjWSNj031DnUOuFDMUM2RA1HfkyOTP9Nkk3jTipQR1FHUuxVS1WFVvpZ8FuvXWhd8l8_YeJirGVNaoxsCGyMbztwUnTtdct293fXd-N4DXloefZ9dX8rhKKE2YbOidOMNo19jX6Nv49glQWa8Z2qoJ-i2aTCplepbrDYtMW1SLXyt7a8b702vqfAGsEEwTPC7MgUyPDKqdNv037UI9i92Ybawdvn6mLrY-0_7YPuDu8O73rxivJF9W_-Cv6P_ro=?accountName=uit&characterName=DiarreaCr%C3%B3nica My tree is similar to cpmhx's, just a bit more of attackspeed. You say the tree linked in the OP is optimized for life gain...
Is the "evasion and energy shield" in the Nullification cluster connecting it to Coldhearted Calculation more efficient than a 5% life node? The ES seems to be meh due to Acrobatics, and 5% increased ES + 10% increased evasion seems worse than the Raider starting node (+12 flat life and +18% increased evasion)? Am I missing something? |

This is only my second 'real' char so relatively inexperienced and I could use advice specifically around where I'd get the most bang for my buck on gear upgrades.
I'm running maps T10-T8 without major issue, a death here and there. Bosses die quickly if I keep my charges up. Breaches are sketchy if no terrain to control mob flow. Ive completed Merc Lab but think Uber would be very tough. In general I feel my dps is very good, but I have to really work to stay alive and can splat unexpectedly. I think I get the gist of the build from the OP's guide and Cadmium's recent post. Below is how I'd self-analyze. I would appreciate feedback whether my self assessment is correct. Also on where to focus first based on my budget -- I have 50c + 1ex -- My rings, amulet and belt need to be replaced with an eye toward life rolls and chaos dmg. I've delayed touching these because I feel as though I'll need to replace them all at once to juggle resistances. This probably needs to be my first priority even though it may consume most of my budget. -- I can afford a Death's Opus (but a 5L would wipe me out), but with my damage feeling good and the relative cost I think this is lower priority -- I'm overly reliant on life flasks but probably need to boost my survivability before I start swapping these outs -- Jewels can use an overhaul with life focus. Likely the easiest and cheapest improvement -- Current enchants are not helpful but seems not worth pursuing until I've got my end-game pieces and can run Uber -- Devoto's is within my budget but current helm is ok so don't think I'll get that much upside here relative to other areas. -- QotF 6L is too expensive. Should I go for a rare 6L as intermediate step? -- I need to add quality to my gems. Pricey and think higher priorities elsewhere Last edited by WreckedM#2279 on Dec 20, 2016, 2:35:48 PM

This is a tough build to progress with early league. I've spent every single bit of currency i had to be able to clear T11-12 maps and now seeing what the upgrades would cost I'm a little bit discouraged. But I'm having fun, clear speed is really quick and enjoyable and I'm sure I could probably do decently even in T13+, but them bosses are giving me a hard time sometimes even in lower tiers.
I tried doing the breachlords and cleared easily before the timer ended no death no problem at all. But then I arrive at the bosses, and get torn into pieces barely doing 1/3 of their life in damage. I try to build my frenzy charges and just get instantly deleted before even thinking about barraging the boss, same thing in merc lab. My life is still low though at 4.6k I think, so I might need to improve that. But the build is not very forgiving for a returning player. At least it threw me right back into playing with my brain instead of mindless clicking, which is a challenge I like. It's just upgrading from now on seems to be quiet the task. Thank you for the build though, it's very well put! Last edited by Bordelski#2103 on Dec 20, 2016, 2:41:20 PM

What should my next upgrade be? Should I get a reach, dying sun, 6Link, or some of the good enchants/corruptions?

" I just didn't try it to kill him last league, so I had 0 experience against him. I always go for 36 challenges, so getting 37 would ruin the lion in the statue hehe. Last edited by uit#7149 on Dec 20, 2016, 3:32:12 PM

What is the best tactic against Uber Izaro?
The first two Izaro stages are very easy, but with all the traps and low space to move i die in my first two attempts. Wither spelltotem, Frenzy and then barrage with Atziri flask ? Thanks. |
