Mathil said that immolate would be crazy dps boost for I think barrage or herald of ice because it would add the flat fire dmg to piscator, in case you can trigger fire dmg somehow for example from flat dmg on ring.

Mathil also said that added cold would benefit barrage a lot due to piscators, nobody here uses added cold though it seems.

Is mathil right or not?

Well, i suppose you re returning old player, you should change your weapon for a good rare or just dont use legacy piscator it doesnt have % ele pen mod, you can check https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Piscator%27s_Vigil, and mathil is right if you are using piscator best boost is getting flat elemental damage almost all of your gear(because of this mod; "Attacks with this Weapon have (100 to 115)% increased Elemental Damage" ). if you have enough currency i recommend you to buy + barrage projectile helmet for next upgrade( ofc after getting 6L QoTF)
Ps: you are using spell vinktar swap it with "attack" one.

Thanks a lot for the flask and piscator suggestions, did not even notice those two, lol.

If piscator scales so well off of added cold dmg or even immolate, how should my barrage gems look then? I could drop slower proj but what else?

I've got most of the things I want except for slightly better rings, yet my POB has me at 520k, where as others are in the millions. What am I really missing?

Is it worth changing Rat's Nest for The Tempest's Binding(wearing it atm)?

I'm saving some currency, and i'd like to know if Rat's nest is still the best option for +2 barrage Enchantment.

I have already done shaper, not a easy fight but spent 3 portals.

Having a ton of fun with this build so far. My gear sucks and I haven't done anything higher than T5 yet but I can feel the build's potential there and can't wait to tackle the endgame.

I'm having the pretty standard problem, good clear speed but bosses take forever (and I barely have over 4K HP). I have about 110c to spend, should I get better rares or save up for Dying Sun/Vinktars first?

You are a pathfinder you need dying/vinks.

should be priority.

Well Mathil is not always right, (bit shocked about that fact too)

The Gem Setup he is using, is reaching 2/3 of my DPS (yes with a piscator on my gear setup)

Also he was mentioning to use Elemental Focus as a 6th link, with Immolate... just saying, that can't work at all.

Tempest Binding is a Noob Trap, it's basically a bad 6Link, yeah you get frenzy charge's but you would run Blood Rage either way because it's giving you juicy attack speed.
Also Innervate is cool but you will pretty much only have it up killing trash, so useless.

A Rat's Nest/ Starkonja combo with Thunderfists will always do the same job by a much cheaper cost, also leaving you room to focus on the main "problem" single-target DPS. and for that Rat's Nest is BIS

Still things where you can scale the DPS, also you are on the way to get the good Wand Node's in the Tree.

If you like temporary Buff's that you don't need (trash mob's low map tier bosses) then go ahead.

This Build here is focused on true endgame, with dangerous mod's where you need reliable DPS and Defense, rather then "oh look i'm bigger than my screen for 10 sec" "look my dps is soo high, killing trash so fast"...

Harbinger Helmet is a Noob Trap, i'm thinking of writing a song about it, since so many ask me about it lol.

It's just such a bad option, seriously.. 3 Link Kinetic Blast is enough, Barrage is the scaling-thirsty skill here.

Oh btw. you can have similar "fun" with this build too, replace Boot's for some Rare's with resists and use this belt.
