I can't choose between gladiator and this one https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2072492/page/1 . Can smb tell me which of them will be cheaper to do end-game, and about survivability? These two seems to be equal in damage and tree, except ascendancy. Sorry if it's wrong thread for my question.

You're limiting your search too much. Just choose anything except from dagger / sword / claw with 55%+ conversion and you're good to go!

That is not even remotely budget and it's very rippy with Abyssus. If you want some other builds to compare with you can check these.

Slayer is more lazy but has less potential to do high tier content, that's my take on it.

Nonsense. The insane leech w/ Slayer makes them very similar in survivablity if not probably better with SLayer. No one is playing Slayer thinking man, I shoulda rolled a Gladiator so I can do higher tier stuff.

The biggest reason why duelists can do high tier content better is that they have 50 - 75% spell block allowing them to block boss spells which are the #1 reason for deaths.

Here you can see how Shaper misses all of his bullets, any slayer build would be dead at that point.
That part goes for most bosses as there are quite few one shot mechanics left and mostly it's a chain of attacks or bullet storms. A Slayer in that situation gets staggered and dies, this case is not restricted to Shaper only.

Here's an idea: don't stand in bullet hell. Good thing you don't need spell block to not be stupid.
Also, when a hit DOES get through, you're life steal is so low if another hit gets through, you're dead.
Slayer will leech to full from almost dead to full, in 1 second.

It's two different builds, but don't say Gladiators can do higher tier content than a Slayer. First I've heard of it. And I've played both extensively in the last 5 years.
