Yes, you can use ES Leech instead of Infused Channelling. Actually, you're not the first one to ask this question. I'll clarify that.

PoB has been updated with the new gems.

Volatility support grants me 40% more DPS, which is slightly better than Bloodthirst (36%).

Added several alternate options :

- ES Leech or Infused Channelling.

- Ming's Heart Ring : more dmg and chaos res, less life.

- Devoto's Devotion helmet : lots of DEX, chaos res, attack and movespeed.

- The Magnate belt. It grants 25% less DPS than a (very good) Ryslatha's belt, but a lot of STR, elem res and some nice % to deal double damage.
The prices of the two belts are similar : 1 div or more for a good roll, in Std.


- Dawnstrider boots, for 100% inc buff effect of Ancestral totem.
Combined with Panopticon notable, your Ancestral totem of choice (Protector or Warchief) now has 150% inc effect of its buff.


- Forbidden Jewels to get Born In The Shadows, or rare jewels.

Hello, just returned to the game after a quite long break and i'm playing this build in an old lvl 85 assassin, so far so good, still lots to improve for my build, but baby steps...

Now, i left before the atlas atlas passive system, which mechanic would be good to specialize for this build? i seen a bit about breaches, but heard that better to be a fast runner and killer to be doing good in them.

I'm not sure Breaches are really worth it in maps these days. But I'm no expert.

Currently, my Atlas tree in specialized in Blight and Metamorphs, two mechanics that I like. Also, the build is good to kill fat and juicy Metamorphs.

In a regular T16 yellow map, I can bring back a full stash of regular currencies.

Also, if you like Blight, here is a demo in Blight-Ravaged maps = uber Blighted maps (can work for any build, btw).

My recommendation would be also to go Expedition. Then you go haggling with Tujen in your hideout and you get a lot of fresh currencies.

The Mark on hit on rings mods are now legacy, so I don't use them anymore.
With the ascendancy, you easily get 100% crit against enemies on full and low life, so I don't use it anymore.
Instead, I prefer Despair on hit with the gloves (can be Vulnerability) + Punishment self-cast (grants 46% more DPS against enemies on low-life).

On the Atlas tree, I'm going to test the Wandering Path keystone : notables grant nothing, double effect of small nodes.

With specializations in Blight and Metamorphs, you can get some interesting bonuses, like :

Blight monsters take 48% inc dmg
80% reduced costs of Towers.
4 lucky chests

Metamorphs have 20% reduced action speed.

+ all quantity nodes at the center, for a total of 30% inc quantity and rarity.
+40% quality of Kirac's maps

Got up to tier 11 rare maps and getting my a$$ kicked a bit there.

I switch between The unshattered will and a second bino knife depending on the situation

I think my profile is open, so, if someone can take a look at my toon and give me some pointers about what to improve.

I'm a pretty casual player, so maybe i'm missing some importante stuff.

Edit: Also, since i have the Assassin ascendancy, how do i get Born in the shadows? took a look around the web but found nothing so far

Born In The Shadows is a very endgame and very expensive improvement. You need two Forbidden jewels. You surely can do red maps without them.

Be mindful that without the shield, you lack elem res.
Add another curse, since you can have 2 with Cospri's Will. Can be Assassin's Mark (+ Mark On Hit) or Vulnerability, or Punishment (self-cast).

Your hit chance are very low : 84%. you want 100%
Add War Banner, linked with Arrogance.

Your jewel cluster is not good. You waste a lot of points. Instead, you need one or two clusters for Accuracy on the regular tree.

Among your flasks, you need one with anti-freeze and one with anti-curse. Do not use the Coralito's flask. It is not suited for this build. You just lose 28% DPS by using it. This is a flask for full poison dmg builds.

You want +life on amulet and both rings. At least +60 life, +70 being better. Also more elem res to get 75% all elem res without the shield. Your chaos res is good.
Anoint Ambidexterity on the amulet.

If you do that, you will feel much better.
