[3.21] Aegis Incinerate Elementalist - Tank with over 10mil Shaper DPS!
This is probably a QOL issue but I wanted to mention it any way in case we can solve it.
We have no degen issues when we are standing still. But we will be leaking ES once we start moving. And then after 4 seconds of constant movement, we will start leaking a decent amount of life. Obviously once we stop, everything should reset almost instantly but I do wonder how this is going to feel. I have to go back and watch Brigetiol map video again as his POB shows that he should be leaking as well but maybe he never moves for more than 4 seconds at a time... |

" He seemed to have a pretty good rhythm down of briefly stopping once every ~4 secs to regain consecrated ground.
" nice!! IMO though, the keystone is a nice to have. I don't think in any way it is crucial to seeing how the build will work. So if this is the only piece you are missing, I think you should be good to go to get a feel for the build as we specced it. |

redeemer with vaal rf and flasks (without ic or vaal haste):
https://vimeo.com/661373936 just to compare, the 13M elementarist, with flasks, vaal haste and ic: https://vimeo.com/647768265 just a small note: if enemy is sapped, it is not changing any parameters in pob, but if they deal 20% less damage, than our defence parameters are even better, since we can take relatively 20% more damage. or something like that. when I'll reach lvl97, I'll run a few simulacrums to see, how it performs in hard conditions, and can compare with elementarist.
" Thanks for posting! I am really interested to see how the defenses do in the expanded simulacrum. I love that we can see you easily and almost instantly got to max brittle/sap/scorch on Redeemer, which is suppose to have higher ailment threshold than regular bosses. SAP seems like it should work out defensively on a single target the same as the old Fortify did but I am not sure if the actual math supports that. edit: Just checked on Reddit and confirmed that 20% SAP acts defensively as the old base Fortify did with a single target smacking you. In fact SAP even adds defenses that the old Fortify did not. Sap also reduces damaging ailments and DoT. Additionally, the fact it applies to the enemy's damage before your mitigation means your Armour has to tank a smaller hit, which it's better at. " I just watched this one more time. After you kick off VRF, you get back both your life and ES almost instantly. Mathematically, the leech and regen alone should not have refilled you instantly. Is there another mechanic you are using to get back your complete health pool so quickly? I am looking at your flasks and I don't see it there. From the regen/leech numbers in your POB it feels like this should have taken ~1 second to refill but your ES refills almost instantly (maybe .1 seconds from the video).... I might be misunderstanding the POB numbers though.... ES regen is 186 per second. ES leech is 286 (I think this is per hit, so you hit 9 times a second so 2574 ES recovered per second I believe) Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge on Dec 31, 2021, 1:13:00 PM

" I think, it is the shield's replenishing 2% of armour as es on block, appr. 800/block, this is hidden in pob, on calcs screen you have to hover the pointer over the gain on block/es on block zero, an it will show the exact value , and maybe divine shield. es regen while stationary is much slower, even if I'm leeching. I'm not using anything else, the build is this good:) this is level25 sim with elementarist, for 30 sec I was just standing without doing anything, at that time for sure, it was replenished from block an div shield https://vimeo.com/649894234 Last edited by Brigetiol on Dec 31, 2021, 1:52:21 PM

" Thanks!! ES block makes the most sense of why you recovered that fast. That was an amazing amount of damage you absorbed while doing no offense in sim 25 against the hordes. I am very interested to see if Inquisitor can do the same. Kosis seems so "thicc" at level 25 that even your character barely tickled him... Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge on Dec 31, 2021, 5:24:00 PM

These are great videos!

So the more I learn about SAP, the better it gets.
Our big enemy tends to be DOT. Unlike Fortify, which gave us no protection against DOT, SAP continues to give us 20% "less" damage from the DOT even after we kill the monster who applied it to us. We continue to get that 20% reduction from that specific DOT until the DOT expires. And looking at the videos, we should have no problems instantly applying max SAP to everything but maybe the biggest of the end game bosses (Maven, Sirus) where it may take a second or so to cap. As Brigetiol pointed out, POB does not factor in SAP at all to our defensives so we are going to be significantly stronger defensively than POB indicates once we get the amulet. |
