I think you made some good points. And like we previously agreed, there isn't really anything good that we could use by freeing up the IC slot. I'd leave the tree as you have it.

This reminds me, the Asenath version has one open socket now (I removed HexTouch/Flammability and added only Defiance Banner).

Since there does not seem to be anything obvious to add, I guess Portal can be used there to not have to deal with scrolls any more.

if you wanna min-max the damage you can get a pair of asenath corrupted implicit with 'curse enemies with ele weakness/flammability on hit'. according to poewiki the implict curse will apply second so it will replace temporal chain if we only have 1 curse limit.

but i would just switch gloves for fat boss fight (e.g. sirus) and put the flammability setup in it.

do we know if the new eldritch ichor/ember can be used on uniques? if so then we could get some gnarly implicts, depending on the pool of implicit modifiers can be rolled on each armor piece of course.

the example ggg gave is a helmet with 'adds 38 to 72 fire dmg to spells'. with the new 50% effectiveness of added damage, that would be 19 to 36 flat damage added to incinerate. that's like +1 gem level.

I have to say, this build is not beginner friendly any more :) There so many nuances to pay attention too.

I am afraid to make a prediction on how much chaos I will waste buying something that ends up hurting my build :)

One thing though, I am going to horde every divine I get as I can see myself having to redivine things that were already balanced :)

My thought would be to keep the EO version as well and update the pob for 3.17. First post could have both versions listed. EO as a start/beginner friendly version and the crit variants for the experience players that want to min/max the build.

edit: for the stat balancing...horde your intrinsic catalysts as well. using them on your rings is another way to balance stats. That's what I did for testing Asenath's. I rolled +30 strength on a ring and then got it to 18% quality for the 35 I actually needed.

I am going to add this to the notes section about the rings and catalysts.

Clay usually does one update of the Elementalist build for the first post when POB comes out and he can do some testing in standard. It will be up to him though if he wants to add any other versions to the first post.

unfortunately no, the new ichor's are only for non unqiues according to Chris during the Q&A.

However, we have talked about whether making a rare helmet would be better this league in which the Ichor's could be used. How expensive these ichors will be is unknown yet. We will have to play this by ear to see how many Crown's are being enchanted with our Incinerate enchant.

I did not realize that the implicit curse took precedence! That is a very nice min max option for the gloves!
refunded points I used for Asenath's and went back to my base Guardian version to try maven witnessed Cortex map that dropped. Was able to just stand there and facetank all their slams. Only time I moved was to get out of ground degen circles.

Only downside was dropping Garb of the Ephemeral instead of Bottled Faith.

Yeah, I'm really thinking hard on Guardian version.
Happy to report I managed to get to level 97 and was able to kill Sirus near-deathless! (lost two portals to the meteor circle...)

I managed to go net ES regen-positive with Righteous Fire without pathing to Hearty by anointing it, as well as a Rot-Resistant cluster for both chaos res and regen. This jewel was swapped to a random Corrupted Blood cannot be inflicted on you jewel for the Sirus fight.

Thank you all again for helping create such a versatile build!

Congrats!!!!

We are glad you enjoyed the build. I hope you join us for 3.17!

Have any of you killed Maven (with this or other builds)? I never have but I was watching subtractem's tutorial (good btw, check it out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g22izghe36A ) and kept thinking "so much movement, incinerate might be horrible here..."

I'm still league starting totem of some kind (not explosive arrow) but I'm using quite a bit of knowledge I've learned here into my totem build. My current POB weapon is even a cerebrus even though I can't leech with totems, just a good weapon (+spell, cast speed) and it gives 450+ ES with aegis aurora.

My build uses too many uniques to try to squeeze in spell suppression, which I suspect this build has the same issue, but I dont think we need it. It would have been nice for this bossing league.

I have, multiple times and I suck.

I die during the fight but only to the memory game because I can't figure that out yet, I always seem to move too early and screw up the timing.
I started thinking that Cowards Legacy might be a lot more expensive this league since there will probably be a lot of people wanting to play the buffed spells and Pain Attunement is the single biggest dps boost spell casters can get.

So I started theory crafting a true Low Life version using Shav's instead. Then it finally hit me that if I'm right about Cowards Legacy then Shavs would more than likely also see a big price hike this league....

The belt went to an ultra scary 15ex in 3.15 due to a popular totem build using it. I could see the belt and associated watchers eye both experience lots of inflation.
