Refunds in the MTX store shouldn't be a "one time deal"
This is not a rant or anything. And the support has always been really nice to me.
But with how the store is, I don't think it should be a one time thing. There is no preview system, and without that there are a million reasons why you would want a refund on an item, and I feel like you should either implement a preview system, or some alternative like an instance where you could try on all MTX etc. If that's not possible I really feel like you should offer your customers a way to refund (more than once). I've had armors that are clipping, character effects that are not visible on large classes. And I just bought a sword that i'm not able to use on two swords at a time, even though I have other swords I can do this with. (there should really be a disclaimer for this in the store), and i'm sure there's many more reasons I could run into. If the support would be to heavy for it, then maybe just add some automatic system where you could refund a mictrotransaction for 30 minutes in the store after you bought it, so we could try it on? I haven't checked much in depth but it seems that you cannot ask for refund for just changing your mind in New Zealand
https://www.consumer.org.nz/articles/returns-and-refunds There seems to be no universal rule as it is in the EU that you have 2 weeks when online shopping to make a refund for no reason at all (but there are some protection for the vendor so you won't be running just lending service for 2 weeks on repeat). But it seems like you can make the case that the quality expected is not the quality delivered and that should go through, even according to anecdotal evidence from both forum and reddit stories. I guess the key word is to not "abuse the system" but we still have some rights when it comes to shopping for MTX. It seems strange tho that not even after the years, still absolutely no preview button, or some grace period to test mtx out. I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.

When you are scared if a MTX will look bad on your character (knowing that there is no way to preview it and possibly not get a refund) you are more likely to spend less money. And if you get a refund in points they will keep your money regardless. a preview system would cost money to develop and loss of revenue for people who buy mtx and forget about it due to the current system.
sadly the one in charge of marketing has tunnel vision and doesn't understand how QOL features like previews will create more sales instead of the screw customers and get money now feature. They bank on the fact that most their supporters , support blindly. GGG is not the same company it was a few years ago, and it only gets worse each day. Don't expect QOL changes that do not guarantee them to make more money. |

a lot of "one time" help provided by support sometimes is more than just one time, but probably due to their SOP's they're required to mention its one time only to prevent abuse.

imo we should get easy refunds (like 2-3) every new season, however thse should only be usable a limited amount of time after the buy (atleast 24h and at max 2 weeks i would say)
