" I watched the first 12 video clips, of Sirus and various bosses. The bosses look like they are being one or two-shotted. Dark Pact is strong, but it doesn't vaporize bosses like that! So I'm not sure what interaction is going on with your Xbox version and char, especially considering the general DPS I calculated in your level 80 POB. Mathil's video doesn't show vaporizing like that either. And if bosses are getting vaporized, then trash should be too right? So I'm really at a loss. The Xbox version is clearly behaving differently here. I can see why you were asking about "why bother with crit", because with boss DPS that your clips show, no crit is needed! Sometime next week, I will record clips of my char on the PC version, which should show moderate gear and DPS (won't use Bottled Faith or Headhunter). It obviously won't vaporize bosses like that, but it will show what the build is like. In the meantime, keep enjoying your char, and your buddy with the block Scion! | |

" I wish the chest wasn't so expensive now! 8 EX is way too expensive for what the chest is... just a big ol' DPS stat stick. The initial appeal to me was how cheap it was! You can even see how cheap they were if you switch from "Online Only" to "Any" in the trade search. Honestly, just use a +2 Tabula, or spend 2 EX or less on a Soul Mantle and find a suitable way to deal with the self-curse downside. Reliable flask spam on an Enduring Mana Flask of Warding could work, but I haven't used Soul Mantle in two years. For support gems in a 7L Soul Mantle, Empower is still usable but it really needs to be Level 4 here. The bonus support gem would probably be Conc Effect, or Awakened Increased Area. Your colors might look like 1R 1G 4B, or 2R 1G 3B (don't need another red for Spell Totem, because its part of the chest). Oh and a "Skin of the Lords" chest with Phase Acrobatics is another option. It has the +1 to all gems like the Loyal chest does, but it won't ever have a corruption implicit on it. And all gems slotted into it must be corrupted already. Thanks for the clips Ayron08, they've been very helpful. You're right that the clear speed looks and feels uninspiring. And yet the boss killing is incredibly strong and broken.
I'm 100% convinced there is a bug with the Xbox version, and the interaction seems to be related to enemy HP. I wonder if the Astral Projector ring is adding enemy HP to the Dark Pact damage, instead of adding the Totem HP. Or something like that. For science, could you try a Conqueror fight or something similar, with the ring not in use? The totems will need to be right on top of the boss to trigger, but that's shouldn't be a problem. I still need to record my videos, to show what the PC version looks like! :) | |

" Sounds like a bug/exploit then, with the ring adding insane damage to high HP targets. You should enjoy the bug while it exists! Your choice if you want to focus on EHP and survivability, or general damage and QOL for faster mapping. As a pure bossing character that you load in for a few fights only, the choice is quite clear. " Your gear and passive tree all look good for Level 77. Your belt, ring, and shield have room for more life, so try to incrementally improve those. The "Avoid Elemental Ailments" craft needs to be 25% on both the helmet and gloves; I don't remember if that's a Betrayal/Syndicate craft or not, but you definitely want to get 25%. Buy a +2 AOE Gems Tabula, this will increase your current DPS by about 20%. And it's 14-15 chaos or so. You can use this trade search https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Heist/REM7zgs7 Keep your eyes open for a better, yet still cheap wand. You'll need to use Path of Building to really know if a new wand is better or not. Can't go wrong with +1 Chaos gems, high spell crit, high spell damage, and some cast speed. Set up a trade search and check it frequently, because something cheap will show up eventually! His attacks are slow and are often telegraphed, which means they need to be manually dodged or you will risk dying. This build doesn't stack any strong defensive mechanic, like Block, Dodge, over-max elemental resistance, high physical resistance. This build relies on a reasonable EHP pool, and a ranged + methodical playstyle. Grind up closer to Level 85, get a few better gear pieces, and then try Uber Lab again. This build does not depend on the Uber Lab bonus for much of anything, so there's no pressure to get it done. |
