New and Changed Gems in Path of Exile: Ultimatum
" You can only convert hit damage, physical damage over time is not convertable (unless there's a new unique that specifically does this). But if you convert hit damage to elemental you can apply elemental ailments with it. So, theoretically you can have ignite damage over time instead. |

" Makes sense, cheers! |

Since the new skills are Dot debuffs not bleed around they are not limited by any map mod or ailment immunity that feels so nice.
In order to get rid of clearspeed meta cap global movement speed at 100% but make all skills instant so everything feels great.

" Possible but not probable. In case you did not notice, Spellslinger is not to be seen here. GGG, either by accident or well-knowingly, did not link Spellslinger, so we are left completely in the dark on that specific and build-defining/enabling question. We do NOT know how it will interact with life cost/reservation. In fact, GGG not having linked Spellslinger here is EXTREMELY suspicious (after all, in the patch notes, the skill WAS changed). It is the only reason I will stick to a starter build I already know very well and NOT starting off with the blatantly obvious Exsanguinate-Spellslinger-Ascendant(Glad/Occu or Glad/Trickster)). Reap evidently will suck on Spellslinger as you cannot ramp up it's damage when it's triggered. |

Thanks for the info! :)
For new gems, it would be really great to know what the alternate quality versions do as well in future patches. I'm dithering on one because I feel the alternate quality could push it to be more worthwhile. Anyways, looking forward to the new league and thanks as always for all the hard work you're putting in! |
