Last Epoch is POE Killer now

Not really.
Just load it up and see if any topics I've been in are green, or if there is a news post. (Only once a day usually for news) Time yourself if you doubt, its easy. Granted if I choose to post, that's a bit longer, but strictly lurking wise, PoE GD is a quick view. Which one do you think is Tywin Lannister?
Also how would you rate the various models 1-5? Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

I'm not playing first time after 7 years. I just log in a selling stuff. But not playing anymore.

Good lord, those beta character models.
I tried to tell myself it's an indie game. That they will get better. Not to be critical. It's not all about graphics. Then ten years later they're pretty much the same janky looking placeholders with weirdly sized heads, painfully bad posture and noodle-limp wrists. Oh, and Last Epoch's aren't that great either. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

"There's only one way it gets better, and Karen gets a bad wrap for figuring it out. When Stephen Colbert was killed by HYDRA's Project Insight in 2014, the comedy world lost a hero. Since his life model decoy isn't up to the task, please do not mistake my performance as political discussion. I'm just doing what Steve would have wanted.

" There are a lot of things going on with POE models, but I never really considered the head size as terribly off. I swear the shadow has back issues. Last edited by Nubatron on Sep 20, 2021, 7:57:50 PM

Compare the promotional art for the Duelist and his Ascendancies with the model...
And yeah. Much as the Shadow will always be the coolest thing about PoE, it's best not to look at him in profile. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.

" A reason i'm not inclined to buy any armour sets anymore. Looks very outdated with the animations/clipping/warping/giraffing (sry Templar). Masterpiece of 3.16 lore

Super legit reason.
I've been spoiled by...well, every other game that has armour/gear mtxes. See below list. If you didn't know better you'd swear visual character gear mtxes were an afterthought for PoE. They are just that poorly implemented compared to pretty much any other game expecting money for character appearance upgrades. Which is really sad because the concept art is often spectacular. It reminds me of back when TSR and SSI tapped the finest fantasy artists in the business to create these mind blowing covers for games that sometimes ran in only 16 colours and at a res so low you could count the pixels in your party members. Admittedly most of the covers were repurposed from manuals and novels but still, there was this acceptance that the promotional art was nooooothing like the game graphics. But dude that was like 35 years ago. I think it oddly unforgivable to see a game that absolutely has visual mtxes as its core product (at least according to the devs cough stash tabs cough) handle them so badly. Then again it was never about that, was it? We supported to support; the GGGold was just a perk. I strongly doubt anyone is playing Path of Fashion the way we do other games where playing dress up is the unofficial end game. So they got away with it. And here we are, with something that must baffle other developers: a f2p non p2w game supported by aesthetics that look...well, a bit like Diablo 2 if Diablo 2 had been home schooled and prescribed Adderall for its ADHD. It is not, shall we say, overly concerned with what it wears or how it wears it. We can empathise, surely. Meanwhile all these other visual mtx games are implementing amazing costumes that you see close up and can really appreciate...and selling them for far less than PoE charges for its premium armour sets (100 USD last I checked for a combined set of combined sets, hahaha wow does that sound predatory). Of course most of those are supported by less palatable mtxes or payment methods (xp boosters, season pass, subscription) so that will always be PoE's fallback in terms of why the mtxes just aren't even in the same league as most other games'. Anyway. Yeah. Mtxes in PoE: amazing conceptually...mostly let down by the game itself one way or another. https://linktr.ee/wjameschan -- everything I've ever done worth talking about, and even that is debatable.
